摘要: Polymer nonwoven nanoweb containing ionic functional group and respiratory mask including the same are provided. The polymeric nonwoven web comprises polymer fibers having a diameter in the nanometer range and having a polymer with an ionic functional group in its main chain or side chain. The ionic functional group may be a sulfonate group, an ammonium group, an azanide group, a phosphonate group, a phosphate group, or a zwitterion group having two of these ionic functional groups linked. The polymeric nonwoven web may further comprise a counter ion having a charge of opposite sign to the charge of the ionic functional group, such as Ag+ or I−.

摘要: An infusion system for delivery of therapeutic fluids from a remote source into a patient's body. The system has an infusion assembly, a rotating pivot joint member, a fluid connector assembly, and a sealing assembly retained within the infusion assembly between the housing of the infusion assembly and the rotating pivot joint member. The seal reduces leakage of fluids. The rotating joint may be pivoted to three distinct positions to allow for emplacement on the patient, delivery of the therapeutic fluid to the patient, and protected, sealed closure of the fluid channels to avoid patient fluid backflow.

摘要: Fiber webs that may be used as filter media are provided. In some embodiments, the filter media may include multiple layers. Each layer may be designed to have separate functions in the filter media. For example, a first layer may be provided for improving dust holding capacity, a second layer for improving efficiency, and a third layer for providing support and strength to the media. By designing the layers to have separate functions, each layer may be optimized to enhance its function without negatively impacting the performance of another layer of the media.

摘要: A filter assembly for an enclosure, particularly for an ostomy bag, is described having an enclosure side, a first layer which is gas permeable, and an adsorbent layer comprising adsorbent particles dispersed in a fine fiber web. The enclosure side of the filter assembly includes an adhesive zone in which adhesive is present having an outer adhesive perimeter and a weld area surrounding at least a portion of the adhesive zone, where the filter assembly is heat-sealable to the enclosure at the weld area. A method of assembly is also described.
