The method may include obtaining a plurality of reference images of a target of a subject and reference physiological motion information of the subject. The plurality of reference images and the reference physiological motion information may be acquired in a radiation period. The method may include establishing a correlation model based on the plurality of reference images and the reference physiological motion information. The method may include monitoring real-time motion information of the target based on the correlation model during a radiation operation performed during the radiation period.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method for controlling a radiotherapy apparatus to perform quality assurance. The radiotherapy apparatus comprises a subject support surface, and a beam delivery device for delivering a planned radiation dose to a moving target region of a patient according to a plan, the plan comprising instructions for instructing the beam delivery device to adjust a positioning of a beam to compensate for motion of the target region. The method comprises receiving motion data, controlling movement of the subject support surface to simulate motion of the target region of the patient, based on the motion data, and controlling the beam delivery device to deliver radiation according to the plan while the subject support simulates motion of the target region.

摘要: The invention comprises a method and apparatus for treating a tumor of a patient with positively charged particles, comprising the steps of transporting the positively charged particles along a beam transport path passing sequentially from an accelerator, through a beam transport line, through a nozzle, and toward a position of the patient, the step of transporting further comprising the steps of: (1) terminating a first Bragg peak, of a first set of the positively charged particles, in a position of the tumor and (2) flash treating the tumor with a second Bragg peak, of a second set of the positively charged particles, the second Bragg peak terminating post-patient relative to the nozzle. Optionally the second set of particles are delivered at a rate exceeding one MHz. Optionally, particles in common are used to both treat the tumor and image the tumor.

摘要: The invention comprises a method and apparatus for tuning a charged particle beam path of a charged particle beam system used to treat a tumor of a patient, comprising the steps of: positioning a two-dimensional charged particle detector in a beam line downstream from a magnet pair; operating windings of the magnet pair at a first power level to generate a first magnetic field; measuring a beam position with the first two-dimensional charged particle detector; adjusting a correction magnetic field by driving voltage of a correction coil at a second power level, the second power level less than five percent of the first power level, where the first magnetic field and the correction magnetic field combine to yield an operational magnetic field; and the steps of measuring and adjusting the correction magnetic field changing the operational magnetic field to adjust a measured beam position toward a target beam position.

摘要: The present invention relates to a medical data processing method of determining the representation of an anatomical body part (2) of a patient (1) in a sequence of medical images, the anatomical body part (2) being subject to a vital movement of the patient (1), the method being constituted to be executed by a computer and comprising the following steps:
a) acquiring advance medical image data comprising a time-related advance medical image comprising a representation of the anatomical body part (2) in a specific movement phase;
b) acquiring current medical image data describing a sequence of current medical images, wherein the sequence comprises a specific current medical image comprising a representation of the anatomical body part (2) in the specific movement phase, and a tracking current medical image which is different from the specific current medical image and comprises a representation of the anatomical body part (2) in a tracking movement phase which is different from the specific movement phase;
c) determining, based on the advance medical image data and the current medical image data, specific image subset data describing a specific image subset of the specific current medical image, the specific image subset comprising the representation of the anatomical body part (2);
d) determining, based on the current medical image data and the image subset data, subset tracking data describing a tracked image subset in the tracking current medical image, the tracked image subset comprising the representation of the anatomical body part (2).-

摘要: Described herein are methods for beam station delivery of radiation treatment, where the patient platform is moved to a series of discrete patient platform locations or beam stations that are determined during treatment planning, stopped at each of these locations while the radiation source rotates about the patient delivering radiation to the target regions that intersect the radiation beam path, and then moving to the next location after the prescribed dose of radiation (e.g., in accordance with a calculated fluence map) for that location has been delivered to the patient.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving treatment information relating to a treatment plan for proton- or ion-beam therapy intended to irradiate a target tissue; receiving machine-limitation information relating to one or more limitations of one or more machines involved in the proton- or ion-beam therapy; determining a time-optimized beam current for a proton or ion beam based on the treatment information and the machine-limitation information, wherein the time-optimized beam current minimizes the time required to deliver a required quantity of monitor units to one of a plurality of spots, wherein each of the plurality of spots is a particular area of the target tissue; and delivering the time-optimized beam current to the particular area.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure may be directed to a system for generating a motion target volume representative of shape changes of a target region in a patient. The system may comprise at least one computer system configured to receive a plurality of electronic medical images that include the target region, and each of the plurality of images may have been taken at a different time point. The computer system may be configured to define a three-dimensional volume containing the target region in each of the plurality of images, and the three-dimensional volume may be different in at least two of the plurality of images due to differences in shape of the target region in the at least two images. The computer system may also be configured to co-register the three-dimensional volumes and generate the motion target volume, wherein the motion target volume encompasses each of the three-dimensional volumes.
