摘要: A method of reducing or eliminating vertigo symptoms in an individual experiencing vertigo or an individual identified as being susceptible to vertigo is disclosed. The method includes positioning a non-invasive nerve stimulation device on the individual's wrist, wherein the electrodes of the non-invasive nerve stimulation device are in electrically conductive contact with skin at acupuncture point P6 of the wrist. The methods also include generating a stimulation signal and delivering the stimulation signal to the acupuncture point P6 of the wrist to prevent, reduce or eliminate one or more vertigo symptoms in the individual. The vertigo symptoms may include a feeling of spinning, tilting, swaying, or being unbalanced or pulled to one direction, vomiting, abnormal or jerking eye movements (nystagmus), headache, sweating, ringing in the ears, hearing loss, visual disturbances, weakness, difficulty speaking, a decreased level of consciousness, and difficulty walking.

摘要: An active transdermal medicament patch includes a planar substrate with a therapeutic face releasably retainable against the skin of a patient. A return electrode and a medicament matrix susceptible to permeation by medicament are secured at separated locations on the therapeutic face and electrically conductively engage the skin. A detector monitors iontophoretic medicament migration into the skin. An integrator operating on the output of the detector produces a running cumulative total of the amount of medicament delivered during a plurality of temporally non-contiguous therapy subsessions. A circuit breaker terminates medicament migration, when the output of the integrator equals a predetermined medicament quantity. A timer active during medicament migration stimulates a driver to operate a light-emitting diode in a distinct delivery confirmation mode during each a sequence of non-overlapping predetermined therapy subsessions, respectively. A circuit board on the substrate in a compact, folded state bears interconnected electrical circuit components.

摘要: Provided is a patch able to produce micro-current to be applied on human skin including a support for electrodes spaced from each other and apt to create voltages typical of galvanic piles, connection means between the electrodes, an adhesive layer applied on one side of the support and apt to adhere to the skin and a protection liner applied on the adhesive layer, the support being a membrane permeable to the moisture inside the electrodes, and the connection means being defined by a material that is avid of moisture, such as silica impregnating the membrane.
