    摘要: A bite block with inclined surfaces fits between a patient's upper and lower jaws to hold them apart and fixes the bite block position relative to the jaws. A support plate slides relative to the bite block to position a needle guide on the support plate along an axis of the support plate. A position stop on the support plate contacts the anterior border of the Ramus of the patient's mandible to position the needle guide along the axis. A syringe needle is guided by the needle guide to a predetermined location to administer anesthetic, preferably to the inferior alveolar nerve as it enters the mandible. The needle guide is inclined to avoid gaging and a tongue depressor attached to the support plate positions the patient's tongue.

    摘要: A cleaning catheter (200) insertable into a tracheal ventilation tube (160) and an input module (156) are provided for use with a suction source (601), the input module (156) coupled to the cleaning catheter (200) and including (i) an inflation module (330), including an inflation chamber (335) separate from the suction source (601); (ii) a flow regulator (700), configured to assume first and second fluid-control states; and (iii) a mechanical user control element (320), which is configured (a) to mechanically and non-electrically set the fluid-control states, (b) to assume first and second configurations, and (c) to mechanically and non-electrically increase pressure in an interior of an inflation chamber (335) during a transition of the mechanical user control element (320) from the first configuration to the second configuration. The flow regulator (700), when in the first fluid-control state connects the suction source (601) and an interior of an inflatable element (588) of the cleaning catheter (200) in fluid communication to deflate the inflatable element (588).

    摘要: A tube stripping device includes a main body and a pair of free rotating rollers. The main body has a first arm, a second arm, and a spring portion. The first arm and the second arm extend outwardly from the spring portion. The first arm and the second arm are manually movable relative to each other from a spaced apart default position to a stripping position. The spring portion normally biases the first arm and the second arm apart and to the default position. The first roller is rotatably disposed at a first free end of the first arm, and the second roller rotatably disposed on a second free end of the second arm. The first roller is oriented generally parallel with the second roller. The first roller has an uninterrupted outer circumferential surface, and the second roller has an outer circumferential surface with a groove formed therein.
