摘要: A system for dislodging and removing occlusions from a vascular vessel. The system includes a handle and an elongate member, the elongate member including an occlusion dislodging member adapted to axially move, radially expand and contract, and rotate to dislodge vessel occlusions. The handle is adapted to selectively induce the axial movement, radial expansion and contraction, and rotation of the occlusion dislodging member.

摘要: Systems and methods for removal of clot material from vessel lumens are disclosed. A medical device assembly can include a catheter having a lumen and a distal portion configured to be positioned at or adjacent a treatment site within a vessel. An expandable member has a first portion coupled to the distal portion of the catheter, and a second portion extending away from the catheter distal portion. An elongate shaft extends through the lumen of the catheter, and the second portion of the expandable member is releasably coupled to the shaft. When the shaft is slidably moved relative to the surrounding catheter, the second portion of the expandable member can be released from the shaft, and the shaft can be withdrawn or removed.

摘要: An endovascular treatment mesh device for closing outpouchings by affixing at least one amorphous hydrogel layer expandable in vivo to any or all surfaces of an expandable body comprising at least one material adapted to close said outpouching in the body. The treatment mesh further includes a telescoping center-support bar disposed therein, the center-support bar having at least two telescoping elements that act as reinforcing extension elements to minimize the risk of collapse. Hydrogel is affixed to the surface of the telescoping elements to inhibit retraction. An embodiment wherein the treatment mesh device is a stent.

摘要: A dilation catheter includes a shaft and an expandable element. The shaft includes a proximal portion and a distal portion. The distal portion includes a tip and a bend. The tip is sized and configured to pass through an isthmus of a Eustachian tube (ET). The bend is proximal to the tip. The bend is formed at an angle configured to provide insertion of the tip into the isthmus of the ET via an ear canal associated with the ET. The expandable element is disposed at the distal portion of the shaft. The expandable element is configured to transition between a non-expanded state and an expanded state. The expandable element in the non-expanded state is configured for insertion into the ET via the isthmus. The expandable element in the expanded state is configured to dilate the ET.

摘要: A method for capturing dislodged vegetative growth during a surgical procedure is provided. The method includes maneuvering, into a circulatory system, a first cannula having a distal end and an opposing proximal end, such that the first cannula is positioned to capture the vegetative growth en bloc. A second cannula is positioned in fluid communication with the first cannula, such that a distal end of the second cannula is situated in spaced relation to the distal end of the first cannula. A suction force is provided through the distal end of the first cannula so as to capture the vegetative growth. Fluid removed by the suction force is reinfused through the distal end of the second cannula. Subsequent to becoming dislodged, the vegetative growth is captured by the first cannula. A method for capturing a vegetative growth during removal of a pacemaker lead is also provided.

摘要: A treatment of a medical difficulty associated with the formation or presence of a blood clot in a blood vessel, commonly known as “thrombectomy.” Said treatment may be achieved by introducing and positioning through a single lumen a device capable of macerating, irrigating and aspirating as well as supporting structures proximal to the distal end of said device. Said device is introduced via a blood vessel, and deployed at a treatment site. The macerator is then operated to dislocate thrombus, clot, or other occlusive materials at the target site, the irrigating element is then operated to continue to dislocate thrombus, clot, or other occlusive materials at the target site, and the aspirating element is used to collect and remove the disruptive materials from the target site.
