    摘要: A milk product providing an individual at least 31 IU (International Units) of vitamin E per serving, or an ingestible blend of at least one mammalian milk protein or fragment thereof, and vitamin E or other fat-soluble micronutrient or pharmacological agent is described. The vitamin E is uniformly microdispersed throughout the milk product, and ingestion of at least 100 IU of vitamin E per day in the product is sufficient to cause the fasting plasma vitamin E/cholesterol ratio in human subjects to be elevated at least 50% above the basal fasting level of vitamin E measured in the same subjects consuming no vitamin E dietary supplements. A method for elevating the plasma vitamin E level at least 50% in human subjects is also described. The method includes ingesting a milk product as described. A method for increasing the bioavailability of an orally administered fat-soluble micronutrient or pharmaceutical agent is also described. The method includes providing a microdispersed mixture of at least one fat-soluble micronutrient or pharmaceutical agent, and at least one mammalian milk protein or fragment thereof, in which the weight ratio of the milk protein to the micronutrient or pharmaceutical agent is between 1:1 and 1000:1.

By varying the choice and quantity of nutritional and functional ingredients, compositions which include a milk comprise, per service size: from about 0.1% to about 20% of the daily value of Sodium, Potassium, vitamin A, and vitamin C; from about 0.1% to about 40% of the daily value of Calcium; from about 0.1% to about 20% of the daily value of iron; from about 0.1% to about 30% of the daily value of vitamin D; from about 0.1% to about 20% of the daily value of vitamin E, vitamin K and Thiamine; form about 0.1% to about 30% of the daily value of Riboflavin; from about 0.1% to about 20% of the daily value of Niacin, vitamin B6, Folate, vitamin B12, Biotin, and Pantothenic acid; from about 0.1% to about 30% of the daily value of Phosphorus; and from about 0.1% to about 20% of the daily value of Iodine, Magnesium, Zinc, Selenium, Copper, Manganese, Chromium, Molybdenum, and Chloride; wherein the percent daily value (D.V.) is based on a 2,000 calorie diet.
