Abstract:
An aqueous treatment agent for wiping paper is capable of rendering tissue paper, toilet paper, and other types of wiping paper dry to the touch, highly smooth, nonsticky, and extremely soft while suppressing the slippery or wet feel thereof. The aqueous treatment agent comprises a water dispersion of a silicone rubber powder with an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 500 micrometers, a silicone oil, a surfactant, and water.
Abstract:
A suspension containing crosslinked silicone particles with a lower mean particle diameter and a better dispersion in certain organic resins is prepared by emulsifying a condensation crosslinkable silicone composition containing (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silanol groups per molecule and (B) a crosslinker, but no (C) condensation catalyst, in water using a surfactant. A tin (II) salt of an organic acid with no more than ten carbon atoms is then emulsified in water with a surfactant, and added as the component (C) to the emulsion of condensation crosslinkable silicone composition. This crosslinks the emulsion of condensation crosslinkable silicone composition.
Abstract:
A cosmetic raw material provides uniform dispersions of silicone oils and crosslinked silicone particles in cosmetic products. The cosmetic products consist of the cosmetic raw material combined with other types of cosmetic raw materials. This provides pleasant sensations of touch with the fingers and skin, improved rubbing properties, and sensation in their use. The method of manufacturing the cosmetic products has a high efficiency. The cosmetic raw material is made from a silicone oil emulsion containing crosslinked silicone particles having an average diameter of 0.05-100 &mgr;m which are contained in silicone oil drops having an average diameter of 0.1-500 &mgr;m, the drops in turn being dispersed in water. The diameter of the crosslinked silicone particles is less than the diameter of the silicone oil drops.
Abstract:
A highly productive process for preparing cured silicone powder having a uniform particle size, in which a platinum-alkenylsilozane complex catalyst is added to a water-based dispersion of a silicone composition. The silicone composition is (i) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded alkenyl groups in each molecule, and (ii) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in each molecule. The catalyst is added and dispersed in the form of liquid particles with an average particle size in volumetric particle size distribution in water of no more than one micron.
Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide a! a cosmetic raw material which allows the uniform dispersion of a powdered silicone rubber in a cosmetic, b! a cosmetic i! which consists of the abovementioned cosmetic raw material and other cosmetic raw materials, ii! which contains a uniformly dispersed powdered silicone rubber, and iii! which has a good feeling on the fingers and skin, good spreading characteristics and a good feeling during use, and c! a method for manufacturing such a cosmetic with good efficiency. The present invention provides a! a cosmetic raw material which is characterized by the fact that said material consists of an aqueous suspension of a powdered silicone rubber with a mean particle size of 0.1 to 500 microns, b! a cosmetic which is characterized by the fact that said cosmetic consists of the abovementioned cosmetic material and other cosmetic materials, and c! a cosmetic manufacturing method which is characterized by the fact that the abovementioned cosmetic raw material is mixed with other cosmetic raw materials.
Abstract:
A catalyst enables hydrosilylation of aliphatically unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds by silicon-bonded hydrogen to be conducted rapidly in water. The catalyst provides a rapid method of carrying out hydrosilylation in water. An emulsion form of catalyst includes a dispersion in water of liquid catalyst, the main component of which is a platinum and alkenylsiloxane complex. The volumetric average particle size of liquid catalyst dispersed is less than or equal to 1 .mu.m. Hydrosilylation of an aliphatically unsaturated carbon-carbon bond by silicon-bonded hydrogen is carried out in water using the catalyst.
Abstract:
A cured silicone powder inhibited from evolving unpleasant odors with the passage of time, and an efficient method for preparation of the cured silicone powder, in which the surface of the cured silicone powder is treated with an alkali, by dipping the cured silicone powder in an aqueous alkaline solution.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a silicone oil emulsion that contains cross-linked silicone particles in drops of silicone oil which have an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 500 μm and are dispersed in water, wherein the silicone oil contains epoxy groups, acryl groups, methacryl groups, silicon-bonded alkoxy groups, or silicon-bonded hydroxyl groups but is free of silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms and alkenyl groups, said cross-linked silicone particles is formed by a hydrosilation reaction. Furthermore, this invention also relates to a silicone oil composition obtained by removing water from said emulsion.
