Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel catalyst for producing a methanol precursor. The use of the catalyst enables the production of a methanol precursor and methanol with high efficiency under low temperature and low pressure conditions. Also disclosed are a methanol precursor produced using the catalyst and methanol produced using the methanol precursor.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel catalyst having amine ligands for synthesizing methanol or its precursor. When the catalyst is allowed to react with an alkane in the presence of an acid, at least one C—H bond of the alkane is catalytically oxidized. Therefore, the catalyst is suitable for use in forming an alkyl ester from an alkane.
Abstract:
Catalysts include five-membered nitrogen containing heterocyclic compounds as ligands for metal ions which have catalytic activity. The catalysts are used to electrolessly plate metal on metal clad and un-clad substrates.
Abstract:
Metal-inorganic frameworks (“MIFs”) having enhanced adsorption capabilities to hydrogen, CO, CO2, hydrocarbons, and a variety of other guest molecules are disclosed. All linkers in the MIFs contain metal complexes, comprising metal atoms and inorganic or organic ligands, instead of only organic ligands as linkers in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). Compared to their MOF counterparts, MIFs with carbon-free or carbon-deficient chemical structure are expected to possess enhanced thermal stability, higher catalytic activity, and higher gas affinity and selectivity.

The present disclosure provides processes for the N-dealkylation of tertiary amines and the use of transition metal catalysts to prepare tertiary N-allyl amine derivatives and secondary amine derivatives thereof. The tertiary amines can be alkaloids and, more particularly, the tertiary amines can be opioids. In specific embodiments, the present disclosure provides methods for use in processes for the synthesis of naloxone and naltrexone from oripavine.
Abstract:
A metal complex represented by the following Formula (1): (wherein M represents palladium or platinum; L represents a ligand selected from carbon monoxide, an olefin compound, an amine compound, a phosphine compound, an N-heterocyclic carbene compound, a nitrile compound and an isocyanide compound; n represents an integer of 0 to 2 showing the number of the ligand; and each of R1 to R4 represents an organic group). The metal complex described above can be fixed on an inorganic oxide while maintaining a skeletal structure thereof to obtain a supported metal complex, which makes it possible to allow the supported metal complex to maintain the same catalytic activity as that of the original metal complex. Also, calcining the supported metal complex obtained in the manner described above makes it possible to obtain a supported metal catalyst improved in catalytic activity to a greater extent than conventional supported metal catalysts.
Abstract:
The present invention deals with the synthesis and applications of new cationic compounds being useful as metal ligands. Specifically, N-alkyl/aryl substituted pyridiniophosphines are prepared and used as ligands for transition metals. The so-obtained metal complexes and their use as catalysts in chemical synthesis is also described. It also worth mentioning that N-alkyl/aryl pyridiniophosphines can be synthesized through a short, scalable and highly modular route.
