Provided is an oil-in-water silicone emulsion composition that has a low silicone oligomer content, and that can form, even without the use of an organotin compound as a curing catalyst, a cured film that exhibits satisfactory strength and satisfactory adherence to a substrate, through the removal of water fraction. An oil-in-water silicone emulsion composition comprising (A) 100 mass parts of a polyorganosiloxane that contains in each molecule at least two groups selected from the group consisting of a silicon-bonded hydroxyl group, alkoxy group, and alkoxyalkoxy group, (B) 0.1 to 200 mass parts of a colloidal silica, (C) 0.1 to 100 mass parts of an aminoxy group-containing organosilicon compound that has in each molecule an average of two silicon-bonded aminoxy groups, (D) 1 to 100 mass parts of an ionic emulsifying agent, (E) 0.1 to 50 mass parts of a non-ionic emulsifying agent, and (F) 10 to 500 mass parts of water.

The present invention relates to a contamination inhibitor containing at least one polyorganosiloxane that has silicon-bonded functional groups and that has a number average molecular weight of 3,000 to 500,000 in terms of standard polystyrene as determined by gel permeation chromatography and a silicon-bonded functional group equivalent (a number average molecular weight per mol of the silicon-bonded functional groups) of 3,000 to 500,000 on average. The contamination inhibitor of the present invention can effectively prevent or reduce adhesion of adhering substances on the surface of a substrate even under high temperature conditions, and exhibits superior stability, since the modified silicone having functional groups is used.

An aqueous coating composition for reducing friction and/or blocking at a surface, said composition comprising a solid lubricant and a modified or synthetic clay mineral having thickening properties such that a 2% by weight aqueous dispersion of the modified or synthetic clay mineral thickener has a viscosity of at least 1000 mPa·s. Preferred clay minerals used as thickeners are preferably smectite clays such as saponite, hectorite, stevensite, sauconite, bentonite, beidellite, nontronite, or montmorillonite.

A novel polyethynylacetylene derivative represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R is H, (C1-7) alkyl, phenyl, benzyl, naphthyl, carbazole, (C2-7) vinyl-alkyl --CX.sub.1 X.sub.2 (OH) or --SiX.sub.1 X.sub.2 X.sub.3 in which X.sub.1, X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 are H, (C1-7) alkyl, phenyl or benzyl, with the proviso that the case where all of X.sub.1, X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 are H is excluded and x is a number of 20 to 500. The polyethynylacetylene derivative is prepared by polymerizing a monomer of the formula HC.tbd.C--C.tbd.CR wherein R is as defined above, with the proviso that the case where R is H is excluded, in the presence of a metathesis catalyst or a Ziegler catalyst. A polyethynylacetylene derivative of the above formula (wherein R=H) is prepared by reacting a polyethynylacetylene derivative of the above formula wherein R=Si(C.sub.n H.sub.2n+1).sub.3 with a desilylating agent. The polyethynylacetylene derivative is soluble in organic solvents and can be shaped into various articles. This polymer is used as a high-sensitivity pattern-forming material and is promising as a precursor for polyacene polymers.

An organopolysiloxane with contains alkoxy radicals and epoxy-containing radicals on its molecular terminals has been found to be useful for treating fibers to provide a durable softness and flexibility, smoothness, wrinkle resistance, or rebound to fibrous material. The organopolysiloxane is substantially free of oligomers so that, during drying in the fiber treatment process, oil does not collect on exhaust fans and drip onto the treated material, causing oily spots.

Silicone elastomeric films of 1 to 500 microns can be made by coating an addition-curable or dehydrocondensation-curable silicone elastomer composition on a coated paper which has a peeling resistance of no more than 50 g/cm, curing the composition, and then peeling the film from the coated paper. These thin silicone elastomeric films can be used for gas separation.

Improved wax compositions comprising certain hydrocarbon ester-containing organopolysiloxanes are disclosed. These compositions have improved shelf stability and excellent luster-bestowing properties, lubricating properties and water-repellent properties. They are useful in textile manufacture, such as treating sewing threads and textile warps, and for protecting surfaces, such as furniture surfaces and automobile surfaces.

There is disclosed a composition of matter comprising an aminofunctional-radical-containing polydiorganosiloxane and carboxylfunctional-radical-containing polydiorganosiloxane. These compositions are useful for treating fibers to impart improved properties, such as pliability, smoothness, crease resistance, compression recovery and elongation recovery to fiber materials. The improved properties remain through washing and/or dry cleaning of the treated fiber materials.
