    摘要: Molding compositions, based on unsaturated polyester resins, unsaturated monomers, catalysts, inorganic and/or organic fillers and/or reinforcing agents, dyestuffs and/or pigments, lubricants and optionally inhibitors, containing a siloxane of the formula ##STR1## wherein A IS 0 OR 1b is a number from 1 to 500, provided that when a is 0, b must be equal to or greater than 3 and the compound is a cyclosiloxane,R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl or trimethylsilyl,R.sup.2 is alkyl of 8 to 32 carbon atoms, --R.sup.4 OCOR.sup.5, or --R.sup.4 OR.sup.6, where R.sup.4 is a bivalent radical, R.sup.5 is alkyl of 12 to 22 carbon atoms and R.sup.6 is alkyl of 8 to 22 carbon atoms, provided that up to 80 mole % of the above-mentioned radicals defining R.sup.2 may be methyl and provided further that at least one R.sup.2 per molecule is other than methyl, andR.sup.3 is methyl or alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and/or a carboxysiloxane as an eternal and/or internal lubricant, optionally together with an additional external and/or internal lubricant.

    摘要: A moulding composition comprising (a) a melamineformaldehyde resin having a molar ratio of melamine to formaldehyde in the range 1:1.5 to 1:2.5 which upon hardening is capable of withstanding heating at 200.degree. C concerned for 2 hours in air without causing significant structural damage or color change to moulded articles made from moulding compositions in which it has been incorporated, (b) an accelerator derived from a mono- or dibasic organic acid, (c) an inorganic filler having low adsorption characteristics and an oil adsorption value of 10 to 40, (d) a further inorganic filler and (e) an external lubricant comprising at least one carboxyorganosiloxane esterified with an alcohol containing up to 4 carbon atoms and the process of preparing said moulding compositions.

    摘要: A coextruded, biaxially draw-oriented, multi-layer polyester film as a base film for magnetic tape is described, whose characteristics are that the total thickness of the multi-layer film is no more than 10 .mu.m, the surface roughness of the base film on the side intended for the application of an information-carrying coating has an R.sub.a value (DIN 4768) of less than or equal to 0.010 .mu.m and the surface roughness of the opposite side of the base film which is not intended for application of an information-carrying coating, has an R.sub.a value of greater than 0.010 .mu.m and that the film has an E-modulus in the machine direction of greater than or equal to 6500 N/mm.sup.2.

    摘要: This invention relates to an improvement in a substrate web coated with a thermosetting coating resin and optionally impregnated with an aminoplast resin, in particular a web of paper, for the surface finishing of woodwork panels or laminates, the improvement that the coating resin is a modified polyester resin, composed of (a) 60 to 95% by weight of a hardenable polyester resin, (b) 1 to 15% by weight of a cross-linking agent for the polyester resin, (c) 5 to 40% by weight of a thermoplastic containing predominantly linear, high-molecular weight, reactive groups, (d) 1 to 15% by weight of a monomer with at least one polymerizable double bond and at least one group which reacts with the reactive group of the thermoplastic, and (e) a hardening catalyst, and optionally dyes, pigments and/or fillers. The invention also relates to a process for preparing a synthetic resin coated substrate web.

    摘要: A backing sheet for the weathering-resistant coating of thin, plane backings in continuous presses without recooling comprising(A) a paper impregnated with curable melamine resin in an amount of 40 to 60 weight percent of aminoplast resin, based on the weight of the paper, in the dried state, and(B) a coating of curable acrylic resin on the impregnated paper in an amount of 60 to 150 g/m.sup.2, the curable acrylic resin being a copolymer obtained by polymerizing:(a) 60 to 80 weight percent of one or more alkyl methacrylate esters with 1 to 20 carbon atoms in the alkyl radical;(b) 1 to 30 weight percent of one or more alkyl acrylate esters with 1 to 8 carbon atoms in the alkyl radical;(c) 1 to 20 weight percent of an N-methoxymethylamide of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or mixtures thereof;(d) 1 to 20 weight percent of a hydroxyalkyl ester of acrylic or methacrylic acid, with 2 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl radical;(e) 1 to 20 weight percent of acrylamide or methacrylamide, the molar ratio of component (c) to the sum of (d) and (e) being about 1:1 and the ratio of (d) to (c) being 4:1 to 1:4;(f) 0 to 35 weight percent of acrylonitrile,the sum of components (a) to (f) being 100 weight percent. The so-called endless laminates, fabricated by using the inventive backing sheet containing the selected acrylic resin, have a defect-free surface, even though the laminates were not recooled.
