    Abstract: A device may determine that a transmission of network traffic, associated with a wireless device, is complete. The transmission of network traffic may be between the wireless device and a base station associated with a network. The device may transmit a request to disconnect from the network based on determining that the transmission of network traffic is complete. The device may transfer the wireless device to the power saving mode based on receiving a response, to the request, that grants permission to disconnect from the network. The power saving mode being associated with one or more components of the wireless device being shut down.

    Abstract: An IoT device may maintain a list of cells that fail to support features of the IoT device and may scan a designated frequency band to identify strongest cells in the designated frequency band. The IoT device may decode one or more signals from one or more of the identified strongest cells that are not included in the list and may determine, based on the decoded one or more signals, a first subset of the one or more of the identified strongest cells that support features of the IoT device and a second subset of the one or more of the identified strongest cells that fail to support features of the IoT device. The IoT device may select a particular cell of the first subset of the one or more of the identified strongest cells that support features of the IoT device and may attach to the particular cell.

    Abstract: An Internet of Things (IoT) device may receive a network configuration profile including one or more parameters relating to a scan interval and a mode priority of the IoT device indicating a priority for a first IoT network over a second IoT network. The IoT device may scan for an availability of the first IoT network. Based on determining that the first IoT network is unavailable, the IoT device may scan for an availability of the second IoT network. Based on determining that the second IoT network is available, the IoT device may initiate a network connection with the second IoT network. While connected to the second IoT network, the IoT device may scan for the availability of the first IoT network. Based on determining that the first IoT network is available, the IoT device may initiate a network connection with the first IoT network.

    Abstract: A serving gateway device (SGW) can cause establishment of a requested connection to a first PDN for a user device. The SGW can cause suspension of the connection to the first PDN and establishment of a requested connection to a second PDN for the user device based on a requested connection to a second PDN for a user device. The SGW can cause termination of the connection to the second PDN based on the respective end time associated with the second PDN, and cause restoration of the connection to the first PDN after the connection to the second PDN is terminated.

    Abstract: A device may receive signal information associated with a wireless signal or charge information associated with a charge level. The signal information may indicate a signal strength of the wireless signal. The charge information may indicate the charge level of a battery of the device. The device may determine whether the signal strength or the charge level satisfies a threshold. The device may configure a parameter or a setting of the device to cause the device to operate according to a long term evolution (LTE) category based on determining whether the signal strength or the charge level satisfies the threshold. The LTE category may be different from a default LTE category of the device and may define an uplink/downlink capability specification. The device may attach to a network in association with configuring the parameter or the setting to cause the device to operate according to the LTE category.
