Abstract: In some implementations, a network element may identify gaming traffic associated with a user equipment (UE). The network element may detect a traffic pattern associated with the gaming traffic. The network element may determine that the UE is associated with a prioritized service, wherein the prioritized service is associated with network slicing. The network element may perform a network scheduling for the UE that prioritizes the gaming traffic associated with the UE over non-gaming traffic associated with another UE, wherein the network scheduling is based on the traffic pattern and the UE being associated with the prioritized service.

Abstract: In some implementations, a network device may monitor a communication session associated with a user equipment and a network. The network device may determine a service-level identifier associated with a subscription of the user equipment, wherein the subscription is for a particular level of service that is to be provided by the network to the user equipment. The network device may determine that a performance metric associated with the communication session satisfies a performance threshold associated with the particular level of service. The network device may provide the service-level identifier to the user equipment based on the performance metric satisfying the performance threshold, wherein the service-level identifier enables an indication that the user equipment is receiving the particular level of service to be displayed by the user equipment.

Abstract: A network device, of a fifth generation (5G) radio access network, may establish a connection or a session with a user equipment connected to a Wi-Fi network. The network device may determine an indicator indicating whether a 5G network preference is in effect based on a subscription of the user equipment and may provide the indicator to the user equipment. The network device may maintain the connection or the session with the user equipment when the indicator indicates that the Wi-Fi network is not preferred for Wi-Fi offload and may receive traffic from the user equipment when the indicator indicates that the Wi-Fi network is not preferred for Wi-Fi offload.

Abstract: A user device parses system information block data, received from a first cell, to identify an upper layer indicator element, and determines, based on the upper layer indicator element, that the user device is in an EN-DC area. The user device causes, based on determining that the user device is in the EN-DC area, first display of a first indicator on a display of the user device, and sends a request to the first cell for a data connection. The user device receives, from the first cell, a message that indicates a second cell will initiate the data connection via a 5G NR millimeter wave connection. The user device causes, based on the message, display of a second indicator on the display of the user device for a threshold amount of time, and then causes second display of the first indicator on the display of the user device.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for managing data transmission within a cellular network. A base station detects the attachment of a Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) gateway. Upon detection, the base station determines a traffic cap for the FWA gateway based on this attachment. The base station then generates a normalized data rate for the FWA gateway by weighting its achieved data rate. Subsequently, the fairness criteria of a Radio Access Network (RAN) scheduler are adjusted based on this normalized data rate. This methodology ensures a balanced and efficient allocation of resources within the network.

Abstract: A user device provides, to a network, information associated with the user device, and receives, from the network, a multi-bit network indication that indicates access technologies, services, and network capabilities provided by the network. The user device determines whether the user device is in a home network or a visited network based on the multi-bit network indication. The user device passes bits of the multi-bit network indication to an upper layer when the user device is in the home network or passes a portion of the bits of the multi-bit network indication to the upper layer when the user device is in the visited network. The user device receives a selection of one of the access technologies, the services, or the network capabilities, and receives, from the network, the one of the access technologies, the services, or the network capabilities for the user device based on the selection.
