    Abstract: In some implementations, a network device may monitor a communication session associated with a user equipment and a network. The network device may determine a service-level identifier associated with a subscription of the user equipment, wherein the subscription is for a particular level of service that is to be provided by the network to the user equipment. The network device may determine that a performance metric associated with the communication session satisfies a performance threshold associated with the particular level of service. The network device may provide the service-level identifier to the user equipment based on the performance metric satisfying the performance threshold, wherein the service-level identifier enables an indication that the user equipment is receiving the particular level of service to be displayed by the user equipment.

    Abstract: A device may receive signal information associated with a wireless signal or charge information associated with a charge level. The signal information may indicate a signal strength of the wireless signal. The charge information may indicate the charge level of a battery of the device. The device may determine whether the signal strength or the charge level satisfies a threshold. The device may configure a parameter or a setting of the device to cause the device to operate according to a long term evolution (LTE) category based on determining whether the signal strength or the charge level satisfies the threshold. The LTE category may be different from a default LTE category of the device and may define an uplink/downlink capability specification. The device may attach to a network in association with configuring the parameter or the setting to cause the device to operate according to the LTE category.

    Abstract: In some implementations, a first network device may receive an authorization request associated with a user device connecting to a network associated with first network device. The first network device may redirect the authorization request toward a second network device associated with a second service provider. The first network device may determine, based on a response to the authorization request, that the user device is subscribed to a service provided by the second service provider and that the user device is not authorized to connect to the network. The first network device may provide a temporary service to the user device to enable the user device to connect to the network for a limited period based on the user device being subscribed to the service provided by the second service provider and the user device not being authorized to connect to the network.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can determine that a thermal condition or a battery condition is satisfied with regard to the UE, wherein the UE is associated with a 4G/Long Term Evolution (4G/LTE) connection and a 5G/New Radio (5G/NR) connection; determine whether the 5G/NR connection is to be activated or deactivated based on the thermal condition or the battery condition; transmit a tracking area update request based on determining that the thermal condition or the battery condition is satisfied; transmit capability information, wherein, when the 5G/NR connection is to be activated, the capability information indicates a 5G/NR capability of the UE, and wherein, when the 5G/NR connection is to be deactivated, the capability information does not indicate the 5G/NR capability of the UE; and deactivate or activate a 5G/NR modem of the UE based on determining that the thermal condition or the battery condition is satisfied.
