Abstract: An improved discontinuous reception (DRX) mechanism is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising receiving a request to attach to a cellular network from user equipment (UE). The method then identifies a group identifier associated with the UE and determines a DRX parameter based on the group identifier. Finally, the method transmits the DRX parameter to the UE.

Abstract: A network device may receive an indication to enable sub-band full duplex uplink transmission for a first user equipment (UE), and may determine whether the first UE and a second UE are associated with a separation that is more than a threshold separation. The network device may enable the sub-band full duplex uplink transmission for the first UE based on determining that the first UE and the second UE are associated with a separation that is more than the threshold separation. The network device may deny the sub-band full duplex uplink transmission for the first UE based on determining that the first UE and the second UE are associated with a separation that is less than the threshold separation.

Abstract: A base station may allocate wireless communication resources to configure a synthetic wireless communication signal for use as a radar signal. The synthetic wireless communication signal may be configured according to a wireless communication protocol of a wireless communication network that is associated with the base station. The base station may transmit, from an antenna and toward an area associated with the base station, the synthetic wireless communication signal. The base station may detect a reflected signal that is associated with the synthetic wireless communication signal. The base station may process the reflected signal to generate radar data; and perform an action associated with the radar data and the area.

Abstract: A device associated with a network may provide a subscription request that requests data associated with the network and user equipment connected to the network. The device may receive, based on the subscription request, network congestion data associated with the network, reachability data associated with the user equipment, and location data associated with the user equipment. The device may determine timing for providing firmware to the group based on capabilities of the user equipment in the group. Abstract: A device may determine a coverage area associated with a base station. The device may determine a handover weight associated with one or more user equipments (UEs) connected to the base station in the coverage area, wherein the handover weight indicates a degree of mobility of the one or more UEs. The device may identify a geographic region associated with the coverage area and may determine information concerning the geographic region that includes information concerning one or more roads in the geographic region. The device may determine a mobility rating associated with the coverage area based on the handover weight or the information concerning the geographic region. The device may select a beam management profile based on the mobility rating and may send the beam management profile to a different device to allow the different device to control the base station according to the beam management profile.

Abstract: In some implementations, a device may partition a coverage area associated with a network to form one or more geographic sectors, and may determine a pathloss value for each frequency band of multiple frequency bands and a spatial distribution between cells, within the geographic sector, for each frequency band. The device may determine a degree of contiguous coverage for each frequency band within the geographic sector based on the pathloss value and the spatial distribution between cells for that frequency band, and may determine, based on the degree of contiguous coverage for each frequency band, a specific frequency band, of the multiple frequency bands, to be used as a primary carrier for carrier aggregation in the geographic sector. The device may output information that identifies a carrier aggregation profile that indicates the specific frequency band to be used as the primary carrier for carrier aggregation in the geographic sector.

Abstract: A base station may obtain information associated with a bearer established for a communication session involving a user equipment. The bearer may be associated with a quality of service (QoS) flow of a network slice and the information may include a QoS flow identifier, a QoS configuration identifier associated with a QoS that is to be provided for communications associated with the QoS flow, and a network slice identifier. The base station may determine a scheduling weight for the bearer based on the QoS flow identifier, the QoS configuration identifier, and the network slice identifier. The base station may cause resources to be allocated to the bearer according to the scheduling weight.
