Abstract:
A network device is configured to receive information relating to factors associated with quality of experience issues. The network device is configured to analyze the information. The network device is configured to predict that a quality of experience factor associated with a particular type of communication will exceed a threshold level a future time. The network device is configured to send a message to the device, the device generating a rule or policy; and the rule or policy instructing one or more other network devices to increase a capacity of the network to prevent the quality of experience factor from exceeding the threshold value at the future time.
Abstract:
A network device may receive, from a user device, a request for data associated with network slices provided to a region or a network, and may provide, to the user device, network slice data, quality of service (QOS) levels, and a policy lookup table based on the request. The network device may receive, from the user device, priority data identifying a network slice for prioritization, a duration of the prioritization, and a policy for the prioritization, and may create, based on the priority data, a QoS policy table that includes a QoS level for the network slice. The network device may cause network functions to utilize the QoS policy table for a user equipment.
Abstract:
A first network device may receive, from an application server, a first request for a dedicated bearer session for an application with a quality of service (QoS) and for a notification of an idle session for the application. The first network device may generate, based on the first request, a second request to be notified regarding expiration of an idle session timer for the application, and may provide the second request to a second network device. The first network device may receive, from the second network device and based on the second request, a notification of expiration of the idle session timer for the application, and may provide, to the application server, the notification of expiration of the idle session timer for the application.
Abstract:
In some implementations, a network device may receive a subscription request to subscribe to receive an event notification based on an event. The event may be associated with the network device receiving a request for discovery of a unified data management (UDM) device. The request for discovery of the UDM device may be based on an identifier of a user equipment (UE). The network device may transmit, based on the subscription request, an indication of a subscription to receive the event notification based on the event.
Abstract:
A device may receive load data identifying loads of network functions provided by a cloud computing environment, resource data associated with resources of the cloud computing environment, and resource distribution data associated with the resources. The device may perform data analytics on the load data, the resource data, and the resource distribution data to identify, from the network functions, a network function being impacted and to determine that the network function requires resource modification. The device may calculate, based on the data analytics and based on determining that the network function requires resource modification, parameters for the resource modification and may perform one or more actions based on the parameters for the resource modification.
Abstract:
A network device is configured to receive information from a plurality of device. The network device is configured to further analyze the information and determine that a performance or fault issue exists relating to operation of a device. The network device is configured to further send first information to a user device. The user device is to receive an instruction on eliminating the performance or fault issue. The network device is configured to further receive second information to resolve the performance of fault issue relating to the operation of the device; and send a notification to resolve the performance or fault issue relating to the operation of the device.
Abstract:
A device may receive a request to establish a packet data network (PDN) session for a user device. The device may provide a first instruction to establish the PDN session for the user device with a temporary default bearer based on receiving the request. The temporary default bearer may be maintained for less than a duration of the PDN session. The device may receive an indication to release the temporary default bearer after providing the first instruction to establish the PDN session. The device may provide a second instruction to release the temporary default bearer and maintain one or more signaling sessions associated with the PDN session based on receiving the indication to release the temporary default bearer. The one or more signaling sessions, associated with the PDN session, may be maintained after the temporary default bearer has been released.
