    摘要: A gas barrier substrate includes a compound gradient layer. The compound gradient layer includes an inorganic material and a resin material. A content of the inorganic material in the resin material varies in a thickness direction. The gas barrier substrate also includes a gas barrier layer. The gas barrier layer is made of an inorganic material and is bonded to the compound gradient layer. The compound gradient layer has a high content of inorganic material in an area near a bonding surface between the compound gradient layer and the gas barrier layer. The compound gradient layer may be bonded to a resin layer and may have a low content of inorganic material in an area near a surface bonded to the resin layer.

The multilayered body includes an intermediate film sandwiched between inorganic films. The film structure includes a sealing region provided so as to surround the multilayered body on the surface of the supporting substrate. In a method of manufacturing an organic EL display panel comprising an organic EL device and a supporting substrate, a first inorganic film is formed so as to cover a surface of a supporting substrate, an intermediate film is formed on the first inorganic film, a second inorganic film is formed on the intermediate film, an organic EL device is formed on the second inorganic film, and a perimeter outside the organic EL device is subjected to heating or irradiation, to form a sealing region.

    摘要: A Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film forming apparatus has a packing unit for orientating and packing a sample which is a composition for forming a monomolecular film developed on a subphase stored in a first tank, a sampling unit for sampling the orientated and packed monomolecular film on a substrate, and an outer casing enclosing the packing unit and sampling unit. The packing unit has a second tank in which a circulating solution is stored and the first tank is disposed in the solution. A temperature of the circulating solution in the second tank is controlled by a first controller and a temperature of atmosphere enclosed by the casing is controlled by a second controller. The first and second controllers are synchronously operated. The substrate is disposed above the subphase in a vertical attitude. The sampling unit includes a pressure detector for detecting a pressure of the packed monomolecular film and the packing unit includes a barrier driving means which is operatively connected to the pressure detector so that the movement of the barrier stops when a detected pressure reaches a predetermined value.

    摘要: An optical recording medium which has a recording medium and a light reflective film on a substrate. A top coat film made of organic material for adjusting reflectivity is formed on a surface of the substrate opposite to the other surface on which the at least one of the recording film and the light reflective film is formed. A reflectivity is remarkably enhanced without any adverse affect to a tracking error and an error rate. Also, it is easy to form the top coat. The top coat has an excellent weatherproof property.
