Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device capable of generating a virtual image by using a user input, and an operating method therefor. The electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises a communication module and a processor, wherein the processor can be set so as to: receive an input through the electronic device or an external device functionally connected through the communication module; check situation information related to the input, wherein the situation information includes time information and object information; search for at least one image, corresponding to the situation information, among one or more images stored in the electronic device or the external device; provide the found at least one image when the at least one image corresponding to the situation information is found; generating an image corresponding to situation information by using at least one other image, corresponding to a part of the situation information, among the one or more images, when the at least one image corresponding to the situation information is not found; and provide the generated image.

The present invention relates to an electronic device for performing authentication by using biometric information and an operating method thereof, the electronic device comprising: a first biometric sensor for acquiring biometric information by a first method; a second biometric sensor for acquiring the biometric information or other biometric data by a second method; a display; and a processor, wherein the processor may be configured to acquire context information relating to the first method and the second method, select at least one method from the first method and the second method on the basis of at least a part of the context information, and display at least one graphic object corresponding to the at least one authentication method through the display.

A method and a system that detects language information from objects in the electronic device and automatically sets a language for the Input Method Editor (IME) based on the detected language information are provided. The method includes executing an application, recognizing an object in the application, detecting language information related to a language from the object, setting a language for a text IME based on the detected language information, and displaying the text IME for input of the set language. There are various embodiments and modifications from the method and system.

A method is provided for operating an electronic device comprising: displaying a plurality of visual items on a screen of the electronic device; detecting a first gesture received at the electronic device; detecting whether the first gesture corresponds to a request for repositioning the plurality of visual items; and when the first gesture corresponds to the request for repositioning the plurality of visual items, repositioning the plurality of visual items based on a direction of the first gesture.

A method and an apparatus are provided. The method and apparatus include a display, a fingerprint sensor formed in at least a part of a display area of the display, and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to identify content including at least one object to be displayed on the display, when the content is not associated with acquisition of fingerprint information, display the at least one object at a predetermined position, and when the content is associated with the acquisition of the fingerprint information, display the at least one object in at least the part of the display area in which the fingerprint sensor is formed. An electronic device for image correction and a method therfor are provided. The electronic device includes a camera, a memory, a communication circuit, and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to obtain a raw image of an external object using the camera, determine whether correction of the raw image is necessary, when the correction of the raw image is determined not to be necessary, store an image corresponding to the raw image in the memory, and when the correction of the raw image is determined to be necessary, transmit the raw image to an external electronic device via the communication circuit so as to enable the external electronic device to generate a corrected image of the raw image, and store the corrected image in the memory.

The display includes a display region having a fingerprint sensing region. The processor is configured to detect a touch input for the fingerprint sensing region by using the touch sensor, and to acquire touch information, corresponding to the touch input, on the display. In addition, the processor is configured to determine a graphic object for guiding acquisition of a user's fingerprint corresponding to the touch input through the fingerprint sensing region, based at least on the touch information. A fingerprint recognition method involves obtaining an input fingerprint image in response to a fingerprint input from a user, determining pressure information relating to a pressure applied by the user to input the fingerprint image, and recognizing the user based on the obtained input fingerprint image and the pressure information.

The method of controlling CA of an electronic device includes connecting a call between the electronic device and a base station, monitoring an amount of data used for transmission/reception during the connected call, determining an estimated amount of time to use a function executed on the electronic device, and configuring CA based on the amount of data used and the estimated amount of time to use a function.
