Abstract:
An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display includes a substrate including a central area and a peripheral area adjacent the central area and bent at the center thereof, a first central OLED disposed on the central area of the bent substrate and including a first central organic emission layer having a first central thickness, and a first surrounding OLED disposed on the peripheral area of the bent substrate and including a first surrounding organic emission layer having a first surrounding thickness.
Abstract:
An organic light emitting display device includes a substrate, a display unit on the substrate, and an encapsulation layer on the display unit, the encapsulation layer including a plurality of alternating inorganic and organic films, at least one of the organic films being a patterned organic film, and the patterned organic film having a plurality of high refractive index portions in an organic matrix.
Abstract:
A display device includes a display panel including pixels; and a timing controller to calculate a grayscale usage ratio of input data and to determine an automatic-current-limit rate based on the grayscale usage ratio, the automatic-current-limit rate representing a power saving rate.
Abstract:
A head mounted display device includes a display panel including a first display region and a second display region which is arranged at a first angle with respect to the first display region; a reflective panel arranged at a second angle with respect to the second display region, to output a first transmitted light by transmitting a first light which is output from the first display region, and to output a second reflected light by reflecting a second light output from the second display region; and a lens to collect the first transmitted light and the second reflected light.
Abstract:
A method of operating a light emitting, image display device that is configured to normally display to one or more viewers, a corresponding image thereof with a relatively wide viewing angle and relatively good contrast, includes selectively outputting to one or more peripheral portions of the wide viewing angle, privacy-protecting light rays of sufficient luminance to substantially reduce, for corresponding viewers viewing from the respective one or more peripheral portions of the relatively wide viewing angle, the otherwise normal and relatively good contrast of the image so as to thereby inhibit viewing of the image from the respective one or more peripheral portions. In one embodiment, the method is carried out using an organic light emitting diode (OLED) panel and a light source part disposed on a backside of the OLED panel and comprising at least one light guide plate and at least one light source.
Abstract:
An organic light-emitting diode is provided which is capable of preventing screen stain occurring when the organic light-emitting diode is driven at low gradation and/or low brightness.
