    摘要: Provided is a two-component composition comprising one or more polyisocyanate and one or more hybrid polyol comprising reaction residues of (i). one initiator polyol having N hydroxyl groups, wherein N is 2 or greater, and wherein the number-average molecular weight of said initiator polyol is 900 or lower, (ii). one or more anhydride, and (iii). two or more alkylene oxides having the structure wherein said R3 is hydrogen or an alkyl group, wherein the mole ratio of said reaction residues of anhydride to said reaction residues of initiator polyol is N:1 or less; and wherein the mole ratio of said reaction residues (iii) to said reaction residues of initiator polyol is 20:1 or less wherein at least one said reaction residue of an anhydride is attached directly to one of said reaction residues of a higher-alkylene oxide.

    摘要: In the construction of a multilayer film in which an ethylene-based polymer layer is joined to one another layer by a polyurethane (PU) adhesive, the rate of cure and the degree of cure of the PU adhesive are accelerated by incorporating into the ethylene-based polymer layer a functional compound with active hydrogens, e.g., a polyol, and/or a cure catalyst, e.g., an amine, zinc or tin-based compound. The catalyst and reactive functionality may be present on the same molecule (e.g. alkoxylated amine or zinc ricinoleate). The catalyst and isocyanate reactive compound will migrate into the PU adhesive over time and accelerate the rate and promote the degree of PU adhesive cure, and the functional compound will promote the migration of the cure catalyst into the PU adhesive. In turn, this accelerated cure inhibits the migration of residual, monomeric amines from the PU adhesive into and through the ethylene-based polymer.

    摘要: An isocyanate-terminated prepolymer having three components. The first component is 30-60 wt % polymerized residues of a first polyol containing a substituent of formula (I) attached via a carbon-carbon single bond to a saturated carbon atom in a fatty acid hydrocarbyl group; wherein R1 and R2 are esterified residues of aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diols; and wherein the first polyol contains: (i) from 0.33 to 0.4 units of formula (I) per fatty acid hydrocarbyl group, and (ii) from 0 to 12 wt % esterified residues of at least one C4-C12 anhydride, C4-C12 diacid or C4-C12 lactone, not including units of formula (I) attached to a fatty acid hydrocarbyl group; and wherein the first polyol has a hydroxyl number from 75 to 150 mg KOH/g. The second component is 40-55 wt % polymerized residues of diphenyl methane diisocyanate. The third component is 0-20 wt % polymerized residues of a glycol having Mn from 300 to 3500.
