Abstract: A measuring device comprises at least one port, an external cable connected to the at least one port, a transmitter connected to the at least one port through a switch, a receiver connected to the at least one port through the switch and a reference path connecting the transmitter with the receiver through the switch. The cable is connected to calibration elements, e.g., short and open. The switch alternately switch in a manner that in a first state the transmitter and the receiver are connected to the at least one port and that in a second state the transmitter and the receiver are connected via the reference path.

Abstract: A port multiplier for extending ports of a radio communication test instrument comprises an input for receiving at least one input signal, a power supply unit, a control logic, and at least one output for outputting a processed signal. The port multiplier is configured to split the at least one input signal into its different components such that a radio signal component of the input signal is forwarded to the at least one output. A power signal component of the input signal is forwarded to the power supply unit. Further, a control signal component of the input signal is forwarded to the control logic. Moreover, a radio communication test system for testing a device under test is described.

Abstract: A switch-extender is connected to a measurement system and to several DUTs. It splits a signal from the measurement system into several signals so that the several DUTs receive the same signal and can therefore be tested in parallel. The switch-extender further includes at least one amplifier and/or at least one attenuator for every output port so that every signal has the same signal level no matter what the individual attenuation factor of the signal connectors or of the internal printed circuit board is. Furthermore a method for calibrating the measurement system as well as for the switch-extender and the signal connectors describes how to obtain the needed calibration values both for the downlink path and for the uplink path without changing the signal connector.
