Abstract: A surface mount coil component includes an element body with a first surface, a second surface that opposes the first surface, and a third surface connecting the first surface and the second surface, the element body being defined by a compact including magnetic particles; a first conductor pattern provided at the first surface of the element body; a second conductor pattern provided at the second surface of the element body; input/output terminals provided at the third surface of the element body; and metal pins embedded in the element body, ends of each metal pin being connected to the first and second conductor patterns. The first conductor pattern, the second conductor pattern, and the metal pins define a coil conductor. The input/output terminals are defined by a pair of metal pins exposed at the third surface.

Abstract: A linear vibration motor and a linear vibration system include a housing, a moving member, a drive unit including a driving coil and driving magnets, and a bias unit including a biasing electromagnet and biasing magnets. The moving member vibrates in a first direction substantially orthogonal to a winding axis of the driving coil with Lorentz force generated by a magnetic field formed by the driving coil and a magnetic field formed by the driving magnets. The biasing electromagnet and the biasing magnets are disposed such that the same poles substantially face each other, and the moving member is biased in the first direction by a magnetic spring generated from a repulsive force between the biasing electromagnet and the biasing magnets. Moreover, a magnetic spring constant of the magnetic spring varies with variation in a value of a current flowing through a biasing coil.

Abstract: An antenna device is provided that can be designed easily and includes a flat antenna of which communication characteristics do not change significantly even when there exist metallic objects or the like in the surroundings. Moreover, the flat antenna is provided with an antenna-side signal line path conductor, an antenna-side first ground conductor, a matching circuit part, and an antenna-side connector part which are provided in an antenna-side insulator. The antenna device further includes a signal transmission cable that is provided with a radiation area setting part in the vicinity of a cable-side connector part. The antenna device is designed such that, by connecting the antenna-side connector part and the cable-side connector part to each other, substantially the entire surface of the flat antenna serves as a radiation part that radiates electromagnetic waves.

Abstract: A transmission line includes an insulator as a base member, a transmission conductor, and a ground layer. A connector is provided at a wiring substrate to fix the transmission line. The transmission line includes a signal columnar conductor having a solid columnar shape integrated with the transmission conductor, and ground columnar conductors having solid columnar shapes integrated with the ground layer. The connector has a through hole corresponding to the signal columnar conductor, and through holes corresponding to the ground columnar conductors. Abstract: An antenna device includes a power supply coil to which a near field communication circuit is connected, a near field communication coil that is coupled to an antenna coil of a communication target and the power supply coil via a magnetic field and that resonates at the frequency of a near field communication signal, and a non-contact charging coil that is connected to a non-contact charging control circuit and that is coupled to a target coil for non-contact charging. The power supply coil and the non-contact charging coil are provided on the same plane or on planes that are close to each other. The non-contact charging coil is superposed with the near field communication coil when viewed in plan view, and the shortest distance between the power supply coil and the NFC coil is smaller than the shortest distance between the power supply coil and the non-contact charging coil.

Abstract: An antenna of a communication terminal is disposed on a side on which a bottom surface of a reflective plate, which is included in a display, is present. When the reflective plate is irradiated by an LED light source, the antenna cannot be seen from the side on which a display screen of the display is disposed. Accordingly, an antenna coil of the antenna does not need transparent electrodes and can be made of various materials each having a high conductivity. Therefore, the antenna has high sensitivity, low manufacturing cost, and very efficiently performs near field communication with an external device located on the display screen side of the display.
