Abstract:
A ring or jewel assembly has a radio frequency transceiver function. The assembly includes a metal body of the ring or jewel; a cavity in the body, filled, at least in part, by portions with dielectric material; and a radio frequency transceiver microelectronic device. The transceiver microelectronic device transmits and receives radio frequency signals SRF, with a spectrum belonging to a predetermined radio frequency range and is fixed to the body, at least partially inserted in the cavity and at least partially surrounded by the dielectric material. The dielectric material is interposed between the metal body and the transceiver microelectronic device, to prevent the transceiver microelectronic device from being in contact with the metal of the ring or jewel, and to form a space of dielectric material, adapted to allow propagation of electromagnetic signals SRF having a spectrum in the radio frequency range.
Abstract:
The system of the present invention includes a conductive element, an electronic component, and a partial power source in the form of dissimilar materials. Upon contact with a conducting fluid, a voltage potential is created and the power source is completed, which activates the system. The electronic component controls the conductance between the dissimilar materials to produce a unique current signature. The system can be used in a variety of different applications, including as components of ingestible identifiers, such as may be found in ingestible event markers, e.g., pharma-informatics enabled pharmaceutical compositions.
Abstract:
An antenna device includes a power supply coil to which a near field communication circuit is connected, a near field communication coil that is coupled to an antenna coil of a communication target and the power supply coil via a magnetic field and that resonates at the frequency of a near field communication signal, and a non-contact charging coil that is connected to a non-contact charging control circuit and that is coupled to a target coil for non-contact charging. The power supply coil and the non-contact charging coil are provided on the same plane or on planes that are close to each other. The non-contact charging coil is superposed with the near field communication coil when viewed in plan view, and the shortest distance between the power supply coil and the NFC coil is smaller than the shortest distance between the power supply coil and the non-contact charging coil.
Abstract:
The invention provides an image display processing device and an image display processing program for displaying information concerning diagnosis of correspondence with an RF tag. The image display processing device includes a unit for obtaining diagnostic information concerning correspondence when correspondence between the RF tag and an RFID reader/writer has been successful, and a display controller configured to make a display unit display an image based on the diagnostic information. The diagnostic information includes correspondence margin based on a characteristic value obtained from the correspondence signal.
Abstract:
A system and method is provided for the identification and authentication of precious metals and small jewelry. The system can include an embedded RFID tag, RFID tag reader and reader based unit (wired or wireless), and a basic tag information system for tag capture, look-up and display. The RFID tag can be embedded in absorbing dielectric medium inside epoxy in a tiny cavity placed in the metal or jewelry. A thin layer of epoxy placed over the tag can ensure that the tag will not be damaged from rubbing against skin, abrasion or chemicals while still allowing the desired electromagnetic properties (antenna and the circuitry performance). The RFID tag information can be transferred to a computer through the reader, and can be matched with preprogrammed information in a database.

Abstract:
The present invention provides an automated system for asset tracking and management and utilizes near field Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) technology. RFID tags are attached to the assets, and RFID antennas (and corresponding readers) are strategically located in close proximity to read the tags. As applied to a rack or cabinet, near-field antennas are mounted along one of the mounting posts at each rack unit location such that when a piece of equipment (rack mounted or rail mounted) is installed at a particular rack unit space, the tag will be read and registered in an RFID management system. A magnetic field shaping arrangement ensures that crosstalk between adjacent rack positions is prevented. Ferrite elements are used to control the magnetic field.
