Abstract:
Methods and systems for processing multimedia files associated with an incident. One method includes receiving a request to submit a multimedia file associated with the incident and, in response to receiving the request, transmitting a text message including an identifier of the incident to a communication device. The method also includes receiving, at the answering point, a reply to the text message, the reply including the multimedia file and the identifier, and storing, at the answering point, the multimedia file including using the identifier to link the multimedia file to an incident record for the incident.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided that aid law enforcement agencies in intercepting a suspect before he or she can go into hiding. The method and apparatus provide for law enforcement agencies to track a person of interest (POI) and to predict an intercept point and/or a destination where the POI may be found, based on situational data and social media content. Further, the method and apparatus provide for determining and adjusting a geofence based on a predicted route and/or destination of a POI and for dispatching public safety officers to the geofence, predicted intercept point, and/or predicted destination to aid in the apprehension of the POI.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for wirelessly transmitting data to be utilized at an incident area. A server computer defines a prioritized list of data items to be transmitted to a plurality of portable electronic devices for use at the incident area. The server computer predicts a first amount of data that can be wirelessly transferred to a first electronic device before loss of reliable wireless connectivity with the first electronic device and automatically selects a first data item for transmission to the first electronic device. The server computer then transmits the first data item to the first electronic device to be shared with at least one other portable electronic device of the plurality of electronic devices upon arrival of the first electronic device at the incident area.
Abstract:
A system and method for providing navigational routing. The method includes determining, at a controller, a first route from a first location to a second location, the determination of the first route using a first set of routing rules. The method also includes determining, at the controller, a second route from the first location to the second location, the determination of the second route using a second set of routing rules applicable to public safety vehicles, the second set of routing rules different from the first set of routing rules. The method further includes the steps of accessing, at the controller, route information related to the second route; identifying, at the controller, a preferred route based on the first travel duration, the second travel duration, and the route information; and outputting the identified preferred route.

Abstract:
A device monitors execution of a safety workflow, the safety workflow comprising one or more triggers and one or more responsive actions. The device provides, at a display screen, an indication of the safety workflow and respective visual indications of: a physical sensor that generated sensor data of a trigger of the safety workflow; and a communication device associated with a responsive action to the trigger. The device detects, via an input device, an interaction with one or more of the respective visual indications to interact with one or more of the physical sensor and the communication device. Based on the interaction, the device one or more of: retrieves the sensor data; initiates communication with the communication device; and sends the sensor data to the communication device.

Abstract:
In an emergency, a gateway application, which has been installed on a mobile communications device, is actuated to advise a public safety answering point (PSAP) in a public safety (PS) network of the emergency, and to disable restrictions on application downloading to the mobile device. Once the emergency has been confirmed by the PSAP, an emergency application, which has been selected by the PSAP, is downloaded to the mobile device. The downloaded emergency application can be executed by the PSAP and/or by a PS person, to remotely control the mobile device to help remedy the emergency. The downloaded emergency application can be removed from the mobile device upon closing of the emergency.
