Abstract:
A method for channel access in a wireless local area network is provided. The method includes: transmitting, a plurality of Request To Send (RTS) frames over a plurality of subchannels to a receiver, each RTS frame being transmitted over each of the plurality of subchannels; receiving at least one Clear To Send (CTS) frame over at least one subchannel among the plurality of subchannels from the receiver; each CTS frame being transmitted over each of the at least one subchannel, transmitting a data unit to the receiver. The data unit includes at least one data frame. The at least one data frame is transmitted over at least one selected subchannel among the at least one subchannel, each data frame being transmitted over each selected subchannel.
Abstract:
A method for a wireless local area network performed by an access point (AP) configured to communicate over a primary subchannel and a secondary subchannel. The AP transmits a frame including a quiet channel element to a receiving station. The quiet channel element indicates that the secondary subchannel is to be quieted during a quiet interval in which the AP tests the secondary subchannel for a presence of radar transmissions and the receiving station does not send any frame to the AP. The quiet channel element includes an AP quiet mode field indicating whether a communication to the AP is allowed within the primary subchannel during the quiet interval. The primary subchannel and the secondary subchannel are quieted during the quiet interval if the AP quiet mode field indicates the communication to the AP is not allowed with the primary subchannel during the quiet interval.
Abstract:
Provided is a data transceiving method performed by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN system. The method comprises receiving a channel access information element from an access point, said channel access information element containing STA group information and channel access interval information, said STA determining whether the channel access interval specified by the channel access interval information is for the STA based on the STA group information; and transceiving data to/from said access point during the channel access interval if the channel access interval is for the STA.
Abstract:
A method of apparatus for channel access in a wireless local area network is provided. A station receives a channel access control message including group indication information indicating a group of stations allowed to access a channel from an access point. The station attempts contention for accessing the channel if the station belongs to the group indicated by the group indication information.
Abstract:
A method for a channel sounding in a wireless local area network. A station receives a 20 MHz null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame and at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame. The at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame is a duplicate of the 20 MHz NDPA frame. The station also receives a null data packet (NDP) following the 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame. The bandwidth over which the 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame are transmitted is the same as a bandwidth over which the NDP is transmitted. The station transmits a report frame for the channel sounding. The 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame comprise bandwidth information indicating the bandwidth over which the frames are transmitted.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus of transmitting PLCP header for sub 1 GHz communication is disclosed. A method of transmitting a physical layer convergence protocol(PLCP) header may comprise generating a short training field (STF) sequence over 1 orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, transforming the STF sequence to repeated waveform patterns in time domain and transmitting the PLCP header comprising the STF sequence, wherein the STF sequence may be a sequence transformed to repeated waveform patterns in time domain by inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT).
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for indicating a frame type using a physical layer convergence protocol header. A method for determining a frame type using a PLCP header may comprise: a step of demodulating a frame type contained in an SIG of the PLCP header so as to acquire information indicating a physical service data unit (PSDU) of a frame; and a step of acquiring frame information required for demodulating the frame contained in the SIG dependently on the information indicating PSDU. Thus, unnecessary information may not be additionally demodulated to thereby improve demodulation efficiency and reduce unnecessary power consumption.
Abstract:
A communication method performed by a station (STA) in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system is provided. The method includes: broadcasting a Direct Link Setup (DLS) discovery request frame for discovering a destination STA with which a direct link will be set up; receiving a DLS discovery response frame from the destination STA in response to the DLS discovery request frame; setting up the direct link with the destination STA; and transmitting a data frame to an Access Point (AP). The step of transmitting the data frame comprises transmitting the data frame to the destination STA through the direct link. The data frame received by the destination STA is relayed to the AP.
