    摘要： A method for transporting particles such as polyolefin particles from a first container to a second container. The particles are transported from the first container to the second container through a transportation pipe by means of a pressure difference between the first container and the second container. A valve is provided in the transportation pipe near the second container, and the valve is closed and opened to transmit particles intermittently. Cleaning gas is fed into the transportation pipe at a position on the inlet side near the valve. The cleaning gas is gas consisting essentially of olefin monomer. The cleaning gas is fed into the transportation pipe while the valve of the transportation pipe is closed, and the particles remaining in the transportation pipe are sent back to the first container thereby to clean the transportation pipe. Therefore, the inside of the transportation pipe is kept clean all the time.

    摘要： A continuously variable transmission includes a shaft, first and second rotary members, a sun roller, a carrier, planetary balls, a gear shifter for changing a gear ratio between input and output by tilting each of the planetary balls, a casing for accommodating these elements, and a lubricating oil supply opening for supplying lubricating oil into the casing. The casing includes a discharge opening for discharging the lubricating oil to the outside of the casing. The discharge opening is provided in a wall of the casing in an axial direction of the shaft and radially outside the lubricating oil supply opening. As seen in the axial direction, the discharge opening is formed either at a position that crosses a contact section between the planetary ball and each of the first and second rotary members or an auxiliary contact section, or radially outside the contact section or the auxiliary contact section.

The first and second driven wheels are arranged respectively on both sides of the driving wheel, a functional fluid that decreases its flowability as an applied stimulus is increased and that increases its flowability as the applied stimulus is reduced fills gaps between the driving wheel and the first and second driven wheels, the driving wheel includes a stimulus generating member electrically controlled to generate a stimulus, and flowability of the functional fluid between the driving wheel and one of the first and second driven wheels is decreased with an increase in stimulus applied to the functional fluid by the stimulus generating member to couple the driving wheel to the one of the first and second driven wheels, thus allowing torque transmission therebetween.
