    Abstract: A mobile object monitoring system including a terminal unit installed in a vehicle and a monitoring unit configured to monitor an unknown mobile object around the vehicle. The terminal unit includes: an information acquisition component that acquires unknown mobile object information including information on presence or absence of an unknown mobile object; a determination component that determines presence or absence of an unknown mobile object regarding a blind spot; a time-of-absence information generation component that generates a time-of-absence information set concerning an unknown mobile object that includes absence information of an unknown mobile object in the blind spot and time information on a time of determination; and a communication component that transmits the time-of-absence information set. The monitoring unit receives time-of-absence information sets from terminal units and establishes, regarding the received time-of-absence information sets, reliability of absence information based on the number of time-of-absence information sets with overlapping time ranges that are based on the time information on a time of determination.

    Abstract: A control device mounted on a mobile object acquires surrounding situation information indicating a surrounding situation of a mobile object recognized by an object recognition device mounted on the mobile object, detects a predetermined reference object present in a traveling direction of the mobile object on the basis of the surrounding situation information, identifies a travelable area of the mobile object on the basis of the surrounding situation information, controls traveling of the mobile object such that the mobile object travels in the travelable area, causes the mobile object to move closer to the reference object when the reference object is detected, and detects an accompanying object accompanying the reference object on the basis of the surrounding situation information recognized by the object recognition device after the mobile object moves closer to the reference object, and identifying the travelable area by excluding the reference object and the accompanying object.

    Abstract: Provided are a vehicle, a vehicle monitoring server, a vehicle monitoring system, and a vehicle monitoring method, that can be suitably used in a configuration whereby the vehicle and the vehicle monitoring server communicate in relation to a travel caution region. A first control device in the vehicle sends an entry notification signal to the vehicle monitoring server prior to entry into a travel caution region, if the travel caution region is included in a target route or a target track. The first control device may also send a passage completed signal to the vehicle monitoring server after passing through the travel caution region. A second control device in the vehicle monitoring server performs an error output if, after receiving an entry notification signal from a specified vehicle, a passage completed signal has not been received by a second prescribed point in time.
