摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus (200, 300, 400, 600) for producing volume reflection holograms with substrate-guided reconstruction beams, comprising: at least one transparent, planar carrier element (210, 310, 410, 610) comprising a first flat side (210.1) and a further flat side (210.2), at least one master element (206, 306, 406, 606) arrangeable at the first flat side (210.1) of the carrier element (210, 310, 410, 610) and at least one optical input coupling element (102, 202, 302, 402, 602) configured to optically couple a light beam (214, 216), wherein provision is made of at least one coupling portion (104, 204, 304, 404, 604) configured to mechanically establish an optical contact between the input coupling element (102, 202, 302, 402) and at least one holographic recording medium (208, 308, 408) providable on the further flat side (210.2) of the carrier element (210, 310, 410) or configured to mechanically establish an optical contact between the further flat side of the carrier element (610) and at least one holographic recording medium (608) providable on a flat side (605) of the optical input coupling element (602), wherein at least the coupling portion (104, 204, 304, 404, 604) is formed from a material with a shear modulus of between 1000 Pa and 50 MPa, preferably of between 30,000 Pa and 30 MPa.

摘要: The invention relates to an illumination device for illuminating at least one light modulator system of a liquid crystal display, the device comprising at least one waveguide substrate for guiding at least one targeted light beam that can be coupled into the waveguide substrate. The waveguide substrate is at least in optical contact with at least one holographic optical decoupling substrate comprising a plurality of decoupling regions and a decoupling region is at least designed to decouple part of the targeted light beam in the form of a plurality of sub-beams in the direction of the light modulator system. At least one diffuser module is provided, said diffuser module being designed in such a way that at least the outermost sub-beams of two neighboring decoupling regions are at least adjacent to one another before exiting the diffuser module.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a viewing angle switchable back light unit in which the general mode and the privacy mode in a liquid crystal display can be selected. The present disclosure suggests a thin film type back light unit comprising: a light guide film including a light entering part disposed at one side, a light changing part disposed at other side and a light guiding part connecting the light entering part and the light changing part; a light radiating part disposed on an upper surface of the light guide film; and a light source disposed at the light entering part of the light guide film. The light entering part includes a wedge light coupler and a light deflection element. The light changing part includes a light reflecting pattern. The light radiating part includes a light radiating film providing some of the collimated lights as back lights.

摘要: A method for recording a plurality of scatter volume holograms in a photopolymeric recording medium, the method including at least the following steps providing a first laser light source, providing a photopolymeric recording medium including a substrate and a photoactive layer, wherein the photopolymeric recording medium has an index modulation Δn of at least 0.04 and a thickness d of the photoactive layer of at least 25 μm, and irradiating the photopolymeric recording medium with the first laser light beam generated by the first laser light source with a minimum irradiation energy dosage of 3*Di, Di being the inhibition dosage of the photoactive layer.

The invention further provides an unexposed holographic medium obtainable using an inventive photopolymer formulation, and an exposed holographic medium obtainable by exposing a hologram into an inventive unexposed holographic medium. The invention likewise provides a visual display comprising an inventive exposed holographic medium, for the use of an inventive exposed holographic medium for production of chip cards, identification documents, 3D images, product protection labels, labels, banknotes or holographic optical elements, and specific aromatic glycol ethers.
