    摘要: An apparatus for cooling semiconductor elements uses heat exchangers to transfer heat from the semiconductor elements to a coolant flowing through the heat exchangers. A central body, made from a flexible material, is positioned between the heat exchangers and a manifold from which the coolant is provided. The central body includes a plurality of flexible runners fluidly coupled to each heat exchanger and the manifold to provide the coolant to the heat exchanger. Heat is transferred away from the semiconductor elements by the coolant and heated coolant is returned from the heat exchanger to the manifold. Each flexible runner is configured to flex to conform to a height of a respective semiconductor element and thereby apply a force to the heat exchanger to maintain contact with the semiconductor element.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a thermal gap pad for transferring heat from a heat-supplying component such as an electronic device, and more specifically to a thermal gap pad with reduced compressive loading. In one embodiment, a thermal assembly includes a heat-supplying component, a cooling structure, a gap pad having a first surface, and a lubricant provided along the first surface of the gap pad. The lubricant has a viscosity of about 500 cP or less. The gap pad is compressed between the heat-supplying component and the cooling structure, such that the first surface of the gap pad is in thermal contact with the cooling structure.

    摘要: In some embodiments, a semiconductor cooling apparatus includes a heat exchanger configured to thermally couple to a semiconductor element to transfer heat to coolant flowing through the heat exchanger. The apparatus also includes a flexible coolant supply manifold and a flexible coolant return manifold. The flexible coolant supply manifold and flexible coolant return manifold flex to conform to a height of the semiconductor element to apply a force to maintain the thermal coupling between the heat exchanger and the semiconductor element. The apparatus also includes a cold plate located under the semiconductor element, the cold plate configured to couple to the flexible coolant supply manifold via a first riser to provide coolant to the flexible coolant supply manifold and configured to couple to the flexible coolant return manifold via a second riser to exhaust returned coolant to the cold plate.

    摘要: A GPS tracking system for handcuffs and feetcuffs, which includes a sensor, fitted with a GPS tracker, disposed within a mobile restraining device (such as: handcuffs, feetcuffs, police device, and the like). The GPS tracker is provided with a GPS receiving circuit, a microprocessor and a signal transmission circuit, and the sensor detects circumstances regarding the mobile restraining device being illegally opened, which are transmitted to the microprocessor. The GPS receiving circuit is able to receive geographic positioning satellite coordinate signals, after which the geographic positioning satellite coordinate signals are matched with an internal prestored geographic data base to obtain the position of the mobile restraining device, whereupon the position is transmitted to the microprocessor. Accordingly, the microprocessor transmits the position of the mobile restraining device and circumstances regarding being illegally opened to a remote server using the signal transmission circuit, thereby effectively controlling the whereabouts of criminals.

Furthermore, the electric energy is input into the charging circuit to charge the rechargeable battery. Accordingly, when there is no wind for the wind driven generator to generate electricity, the charging circuit can be placed in an electric discharge state controlled by the central processing unit, thereby enabling the rechargeable battery to continue supplying electric energy, thus ensuring normal operation of the global positioning tracking device.

    摘要: An optical cross-connect switch includes a switching mirror, a lens mount for securing an optical fiber collimating lens so that a light path from the optical fiber collimating lens is in an alignment relative to the switching mirror and a second lens, and an actuator. The actuator is connected to the switching mirror. The actuator comprises a flexure, and a mechanical motion amplifier. The switching mirror is attached to the mechanical motion amplifier in a thermally stable manner. Mechanical motion of the actuator is damped using a damping fluid. Repeatability of actuator motion is provided for switching the switching mirror into and out of the light path.

    摘要: A transistor having a gate electrode with a T-shaped cross section is fabricated from a single layer of conductive material using an etching process. A two process etch is performed to form side walls having a notched profile. The notches allow source and drain regions to be implanted in a substrate and thermally processed without creating excessive overlap capacitance with the gate electrode. The reduction of overlap capacitance increases the operating performance of the transistor, including drive current.
