Abstract:
The present invention provides new perfluoroalkylcarboxylic acid esters of the formula ##EQU1## WHEREIN R.sub.f is perfluoroalkyl with 4 to 18 carbon atoms, A represents a radical forming with the --NCO--N-group ethylene urea, hydantoin or isocyanurate radicals, B is --O-- or --OH Cl-- , m is a whole number from 1 to 3, q is 1 or 2 and x is 0, 1 or 2, with x being 0 or 1 if m is 1. The new compounds are useful for producing oil and water-repellent finishes on porous and non-porous finishes, such as paper, textiles or plastics.
Abstract:
A process for fireproofing polyester fibers in which a sulphonamide of the formula ##STR1## in which R is an aromatic, cycloaliphatic or aliphatic radical or hydrogen and in which the ring A is unsubstituted or further substituted or in which a hydrazonium or ammonium salt of such a sulphonamide is applied to the fiber material which is then dried and subjected to a heat treatment. The sulphonamide may also be applied in the presence of a dispersant, a protective colloid and/or water. The composition of matter for performing this process is also provided.
Abstract:
A process for fireproofing polyester fibers is provided in which a substituted mono- or disulphurylamide of the formula ##STR1## wherein n is 1 or 2, R are aromatic, cycloaliphatic or aliphatic radicals or hydrogen and A is alkylene or an ammonium salt of such a sulphurylamide is applied to the fiber material which is then dried and subjected to a heat treatment. The sulphurylamide may also be applied in the presence of a dispersant, a protective colloid and/or water. The composition of matter for performing this process is also provided.
Abstract:
A s-Triazine of the formula ##STR1## wherein X, Y and Z are radicals of the formula ##STR2## and R are aromatic, cycloaliphatic or aliphatic radicals or hydrogen is provided. The process for the manufacture of such s-Triazines is also provided as well as a process for fireproofing polyester fibres with such s-Triazines. The s-Triazine may also be applied in the presence of a dispersant, a protective colloid and/or water. The composition of matter for performing this process is also provided.

Abstract:
New perfluoroalkyl compounds of the formulaR.sub.f --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --SO.sub.x C.sub.m H.sub.2m A,wherein R.sub.f is a perfluoroalkyl radical with 5 to 18 carbon atoms, A is carboxyl, carboxyl ester, carboxylic amide or cyano, x is 1 or 2 and m is a whole number from 1 to 3, with the proviso that when A is carboxyl, then m is only 1 if x is 1, are provided. These new compounds are useful for producing oleophobic finishes on porous and non-porous substrates, e.g. textile materials. They are also useful as intermediates for the manufacture of further fluorine containing finishing agents.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to water-soluble quaternary ammonium salts of organic compounds having antistatic or softening properties. These ammonium salts contain at least one fatty acid radical and are quaternized with a dialkyl ester of an alkylphosphonic acid. They are used for finishing organic fibrous material, especially textiles and paper.

Abstract:
Composition for flameproofing organic fibre material which contains at least1. a tetrakis-(hydroxymethyl)-phosphonium compound, its self-condensation product or its condensation product with a reactive nitrogen compound2. an aliphatic amide or an imidazole or an imidazoline as agent for imparting a soft handle3. a methylolated amino groups containing 1,3,5-triazine and, optionally,4. an optionally methylolated and esterified derivative of a urea and, optionally,5. a low molecular amine. These compositions yield flameproof finishes paired with a soft handle especially on polyester-cotton blends.
