Abstract:
A method of writing device data in a dual controller network storage environment is described. According to the method, functions of a virtual data router (VD router) and a mirror technology are integrated, so as to efficiently transmit internal network data and write data into disk devices on different controllers in a dual controller network storage environment. Thereby, the internal network data transmission efficiency and actual internal network utilization can be improved.
Abstract:
A microfluidic system for separating, purifying and counting cell sub-populations, utilising steering of liquid flows in microfluidic channels in a cell focusing region (first dotted circle area); having the integration of the optical detection mechanism and a microchannel structure made from moulding. A master is photolithographically patterned on a soft PDMS silicon or polymer material. After being moulded and peeled off the master, the micro-channel structure is sealed on a hard substrate with openings punched through for wells (14, 12, 36, 38, 40). An optical detection region (20) discriminates different types of cells that have been formed into a single flow (30). Electromagnetic fields are used to steer (32) the flows of cells according to the signals from the optical detection region into branch channels leading to the punched wells for separate collection. The system can have parallel systems that increase throughput or cascade systems to provide several analysis steps. The optical system an micro-lens (24) for the system can be imbedded in the moulding material during formation of the mould.
Abstract:
An anti-fuse having two electrical connections is constructed by adding at least one zener diode and resistor to a power MOSFET. When the voltage across the two electrical connections exceeds the zener diode voltage and the maximum gate voltage of the MOSFET, the MOSFET burns out. This shorts out the device which can be used to bypass an LED or other load when that load burns out and forms an open circuit.

A modular elevator sheave comprises a mandrel body, wherein multiple sheave units are arranged side by side along the mandrel body, and wherein, the outer wall of the outer circumference of the sheave unit is provided with a groove. In this structural composition, the mandrel body with multiple sheave units, which increases the overall strength and rigidity of the sheave. Furthermore, the number of sheave unit used can be increase and decrease depending on the need or situation, and it should be noted that since the sheave unit can be replaced individually when damaged, it is easier to maintain and reduce repairing costs.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a single-affiliation serial advanced technology attachment (SATA) driver of an active-active redundant array of independent disks (RAID) and a system thereof are described. The method includes a first control device assembly traversing a local access path for determining whether the local access path is capable of being connected to an SATA device; if the local access path is damaged, the first control device assembly being connected to a second lock module; determining whether a first lock module or the second lock module obtains an access authority to the SATA device according to a time-sharing mechanism; and when the first lock module obtains the access authority, a first RAID controller being connected to the second control device assembly and accessing the SATA device by a remote access path lock module.
Abstract:
A system and related method for coded aperture sensing, comprising: passing at least one scene wavefront from a target scene through at least one original coded aperture mask onto a focal plane array, producing a diffracted projection of the target scene; and processing the diffracted projection into a representation of the target scene by correlating a function of the diffracted projection with a function of a known array pattern of the at least one original coded aperture mask and by using at least one reconstructing wavefront for holographic reconstructing.
