Abstract:
A method is provided for managing, in a computer system, design of a database system having a set of schemata. The method includes, in a first computer process, extracting dependencies from the database system and identifying the set of schemata. The method further includes, for each specific schema in the set of schemata, creating in a second computer process a partition that, in turn, contains a further partition for each element of the specific schema, so as to establish a hierarchy of partitions in accordance with the structure of the set of schemata. The method also includes storing a representation of the database system including subsystems, dependency relationships among the subsystems, and the hierarchy of partitions. Finally, the method includes providing a graphical output from the computer system, based on the stored representation, in which appears a display of the subsystems in a hierarchy of partitions within a dependency structure matrix, such matrix graphically indicating the dependency relationships among subsystems. Related apparatus and computer products are also provided.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are described for remote establishment of a call from a first device to a second device. In said methods and systems the information is retrieved from the first device regarding the second device along with information associating the user with a device associated with the user. The call is then transferred to a switch associated with the user's device. The switch then forwards the call to the second device.
Abstract:
A splashboard assembly for mounting upon a countertop and against a vertical wall. The assembly includes a splashboard and a clip. The clip has an upper and lower portions, and can couple the splashboard to the countertop adjacent said vertical wall. The lower portion has a fastening arrangement for fastening the lower portion to the countertop. The upper portion has support devices for supporting the splashboard. The clip has a section for biasing the splashboard against said vertical wall with respect to said countertop. One, or more, clips are first attached to the countertop edge. When the countertop is in place, the splashboard is snapped onto the clips. A decorative end cap may also be provided to cover any exposed end of the splashboard.
Abstract:
Methods and systems providing access to integrated communications services are disclosed. A notification of a call to a user is received at a device associated with the user, the device being connected to a data network and including a base unit, a handset, and a user interface, wherein the device is determined based on retrieved data corresponding to the user, and the retrieved data was retrieved using information pertaining to the call. Input from the user indicative of a response to the notification is also received at the device. Response information reflective of the response to the notification is then sent to the server, wherein the server instructs a service control point to connect the call based on the response to the notification.

Abstract:
Methods and systems for managing a call in real-time are disclosed. Methods and systems consistent with the present invention manage a call in real-time based on input from a user. A service center receives information pertaining to a call to the user from a service control point and sends a notification of the call to a device associated with the user. The service center receives a response to the notification from the user. Thereafter, the service center instructs the service control point to connect the call based on the response.
Abstract:
A splicing nut for securing a line or rope enables quick, lightweight, secure attachment of the line or rope end to itself so as to form a loop. The loop can be used to attach to another line or an object without the use of a knot or other attachment means or device.
