    Abstract: A multiple access slotted wireless communication system comprising a plurality of terminals and a multi-access receiver is described. The multi-access receiver can decode multiple transmissions in each slot of a frame from terminals in its field of view. Each terminal has an active state for transmitting and an inactive state. After receiving acknowledgement of a successful transmission by the terminal, the terminal enters the inactive state for at least a transmission delay time. This may be the remaining time that the terminal is in the field of view of the multi-access receiver. This may be achieved by the terminal using a probability of transmission to determine whether or not to transmit in the next frame. The terminal may also be configured to select the slot in a frame, and this may be based upon information such as which slots were acknowledged. The receiver may use compression to transmit acknowledgement messages.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a base station apparatus, a terminal apparatus, and a communication method, which are capable of throughput improvement. A base station apparatus that communicates with a terminal apparatus, includes a higher layer processing unit that configures a CSI process that is a configuration relating to reporting of a channel state information (CSI), for the terminal apparatus for which a prescribed transmission mode is configured, in which the CSI process includes a configuration of a CSI reference signal and a configuration relating to two different code books. A terminal apparatus that communicates with a base station apparatus, includes a higher layer processing unit for which a CSI process that is a configuration relating to reporting of channel state information (CSI) is configured by the base station apparatus, and a transmission unit that transmits the CSI based on the CSI process, in which the CSI information includes a configuration of a CSI reference signal and a configuration relating to two different code books.

    Abstract: A multi-line digital transceiver configured to use low-complexity beamforming on at least some tones to boost effective SNR values for selected subscriber lines. In an example embodiment, the beamforming coefficients can be restricted to one-bit values or two-bit values, e.g., such that the corresponding beamforming computations can be implemented using only sign changes, swaps of the real and imaginary parts, and/or zeroing of some values, and without invoking any full-precision hardware multiplication operations. At least some embodiments can be run on a significantly simpler and/or less powerful vectoring engine than conventional beamforming solutions while still being able to provide nearly optimal beamforming SNR gains. In some embodiments, additional scaling by powers of two may be applied to at least some signals contributing to the beamforming, e.g., to satisfy power constraints for some or all of the subscriber lines.

    Abstract: This invention aims to achieve appropriate communication in a communication system which uses a cell defined to apply listening. This invention provides a user terminal which performs communication using cells including an LAA cell which applies listening before UL transmission, the terminal including a transmission unit which transmits uplink control information and uplink data, and a control unit which controls transmission of the uplink control information and the uplink data, wherein the control unit performs control to transmit the uplink control information using an uplink channel other than an uplink shared channel of the LAA cell.
