Abstract: A head-mounted device may have an inner display that displays images for a user and an outer display that informs nearby people of the status of the user and inner display. For example, the outer display may display an image of a face, an abstract layer, or both, depending on whether the inner display is operating in passthrough mode, mixed reality mode, or virtual reality mode. An ambient light sensor in the head-mounted device may be used to measure the brightness and color of ambient light. The white point of the face layer on the outer display may be adapted to the color of ambient light, whereas the white point of the abstract layer on the outer display may remain fixed. The white point of a display may be a correlated color temperature setting (e.g., measured in degrees Kelvin) that determines the warmth or coolness of displayed colors.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform a method including a user equipment device (UE) exchanging communications with a base station to determine one or more scheduling profiles, such as one or more scheduling-power profiles, where a scheduling-power profile may specify one or more parameters associated with UE communication behavior, e.g., one or more constraints on UE communication behavior and/or slot scheduling of UE communications. Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for providing maximum transmit power control when utilizing multiple radio access technologies. For example, a wireless communication device comprising two cellular radios may intend to transmit on the first radio, while concurrently transmitting on the second radio. To ensure compliance with a maximum transmit power limitation, the device may determine an allowed transmit power level of the first radio, representing a difference between the maximum transmit power limitation and the current transmit power level being transmitted by the second radio. The device may also determine a threshold power level for a communication by the first radio. If the allowed transmit power level meets the threshold power level, then the device may transmit the first communication having a power level between the threshold power level and the allowed transmit power level. Otherwise, the device may forego transmission of the first communication.

Abstract: An electronic device such as a head-mounted device may have a display that displays computer-generated content for a user. The head-mounted device may have an optical system that directs the computer-generated content towards eye boxes for viewing by a user. The optical system may include a spatially addressable adjustable optical component. The adjustable optical component may have first and second electrodes and an electrically adjustable material between the first and second electrodes. The electrically adjustable material may include a transparent conductive material such as indium tin oxide that includes a pattern of segmented trenches configured to provide the transparent conductive material with electrical anisotropy. Contacts may be coupled to the transparent conductive material. Control circuitry can adjust the electrically adjustable material to form a spatially addressable light modulator or adjustable lens.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform methods to implement mechanisms for a UE to request a beam quality measurement procedure. A user equipment device may be configured to perform a method including performing transmitting a request to perform a beam quality measurement procedure for downlink receptions (e.g., a P3 procedure) to a base station/network entity, receiving instructions to perform the beam quality measurement procedure from the base station, and transmitting results of the beam quality measurement procedure to the base station. In some embodiments, transmission of the request may be response to at least one trigger condition and/or detection of a condition at the UE. The request may include an indication of a preferred timing offset. The instructions to perform the beam quality measurement procedure may include a schedule for the beam quality measurement.

Abstract: A downlink control information (DCI), such as a blanking DCI (bDCI) message may be transmitted by a base station (e.g., eNB) and received by a mobile device (e.g., UE). The bDCI may indicate that the eNB will not transmit a subsequent DCI to the UE for a duration of time. The UE may be in continuous reception mode or connected discontinuous reception (C-DRX) mode. The UE may therefore determine to enter a sleep state or take other action. The bDCI may specify an explicit blanking duration, or an index indicating a blanking duration from a lookup table, and/or the blanking duration (and/or a blanking duration offset value) may be determined in advance, e.g., semi-statically. When the UE is in C-DRX mode, the UE may be configured such that either the sleep/wake period of the C-DRX mode or the blanking period of the bDCI may take precedence over the other.

A wireless device may establish a radio resource control connection with a first cell. The wireless device may determine that a second cell strongly interferes with communication with the first cell. The wireless device may provide an indication that the second cell is a strongly interfering cell to the first cell. The first cell may coordinate with the second cell to transmit data to the wireless device, and to receive data from the wireless device, based at least in part on the indication that the second cell is a strongly interfering cell.

Abstract: A device and method for power optimization for a user equipment (UE) without neighbor cell measurement configuration. The UE may be configured with Connected Discontinuous Reception (C-DRX) functionality including a cycle with an onDuration. The UE may be configured with carrier aggregation (CA) in the unlicensed spectrum including a reference signal (DRS) monitoring timing configuration (DMTC) occasion that occurs outside of the onDuration. The UE determines at least one subframe of the onDuration for the UE to utilize an active mode of processing related to performing measurements corresponding to a cell utilizing the unlicensed spectrum. The UE determines to utilize a sleep mode of processing related to performing the measurements during the DMTC occasion based on detecting a first downlink signal transmitted by the cell during the at least one subframe of the onDuration.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to performing cellular communication using a control information monitoring framework. A wireless device may monitor a control channel for control information according to a first periodic pattern. According to the first periodic pattern, the wireless device may monitor the control channel in a specified slot during each period of the first periodic pattern. Each period of the first periodic pattern may include multiple slots. The wireless device may receive control information during a first slot. The first slot may be a specified slot according to the first periodic pattern. The control information received during the first slot may schedule a data communication. The wireless device may monitor the control channel for control information in at least one slot that is not specified according to the first periodic pattern based at least in part on receiving control information during a specified slot according to the first periodic pattern.
