摘要: To provide a technology of staining nuclei of cells, microorganisms and the like by a simple operation and observing their forms. There is provided a cell nucleus observation substrate including an introduction part into which a sample liquid containing cells is introduced and an observation area within which the cells in the sample liquid introduced from the introduction part is held, copper being disposed on a flow path of the sample liquid in the introduction part and the observation area so that the copper being capable of contacting with the sample liquid. In the cell nucleus observation substrate, the cells in the sample liquid introduced from the introduction part is contacted with copper, nucleic acids therein will emit fluorescence and is held within the observation area. Accordingly, in the cell nucleus observation substrate, the cells including the nuclei being fluorescence stained can be observed at the observation area.

摘要: An observation apparatus includes a sample holder to hold a sample, a blade to cut the sample and subsequently form a new cross section, an optical system including a first objective lens and a second objective lens, and an electronic camera to capture an image of the cross section of the sample. A main controller causes the electronic camera to capture a partial image corresponding to a part of the cross section via the first objective lens. The main controller moves an XY stage to change relative positions of the sample and the optical system within an XY plane, to thereby acquire a plurality of partial images. An image processing unit generates synthesized image data obtained by synthesizing the partial images for each cross section to display it on a display unit. Accordingly, a user can observe a high-resolution image.

摘要: A cell observation support instrument having opposed first and second surface members 115 and 117 and stoppers that are positioned between the first and second surface members 115 and 117 in order to prevent movement of cells. The first and second surface members 115 and 117 form a cell-containing space 110 between opposed surfaces of the members 115 and 117, in order to contain a plurality of cells while allowing movement of the cells. At least one of the first and second surface members 115 and 117 is a member through which an inner side of the cell-containing space 110 can be optically observed from the outside. The stoppers are arranged in the cell-containing space 110, and the number of the stoppers is one or more.

摘要: Provided is a cell separating method which suppresses physical damage to cells without using an apparatus having a complicated structure, and enables the cell separation performed by a quantitative analysis and a multi-parametric analysis and the cell separation using Hoechst staining or the like as an index. The present invention provides a cell separating method including a step (S3) of determining the characteristics of a cell labeled with a caged compound; a step (S4) of activating the caged compound labeling a target cell by emitting light only to the target cell having a predetermined characteristic; and a step (S5) of bringing cells into contact with a substance having an affinity with the activated caged compound and separating only the target cell from the cells based on the interaction between the substance and the activated caged compound.
