Abstract: An embodiment is method performed by a source node to transmit data to a destination node via a relay node. The method includes transmitting a first multi-user request-to-send (MU RTS) frame to the relay node, receiving a first clear-to-send (CTS) frame corresponding to the first MU RTS frame from the relay node, upon receiving the first CTS frame from the relay node, waiting for a first length of time that allows the relay node to transmit a second MU RTS frame to the destination node and receive a second CTS frame corresponding to the second MU RTS frame from the destination node, and after waiting for the first length of time, transmitting a data frame to the relay node that is to be relayed by the relay node to the destination node.

Abstract: An embodiment is method performed by a wireless device to allow preemption in a wireless network. The method includes wirelessly transmitting a first preemption physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) that includes a complete preamble followed by one or more subsequent preemption PPDUs that each include a reduced preamble, wherein the complete preamble includes one or more preamble fields that are omitted in the reduced preamble, wherein the first PPDU and the one or more subsequent preemption PPDUs are transmitted with a predefined interframe space interval between PPDU transmissions during which preemption is allowed.

Abstract: A method for calibrating a radio frequency (RF) transmitter to compensate for a frequency-dependent in-phase quadrature (FDIQ) mismatch is disclosed. The method may include determining in-phase quadrature (IQ) amplitude and phase mismatches of the RF transmitter for a lower side band (LSB) and an upper side band (USB), determining a FDIQ mismatch based on linear fitting the IQ amplitude and phase mismatches for the LSB and the USB, modifying the FDIQ mismatch based on flipping a FDIQ phase mismatch in the LSB and flipping a FDIQ phase mismatch in the USB to generate a modified FDIQ mismatch, determining Fourier coefficients based on applying an inverse fast Fourier transform to the modified FDIQ mismatch, and determining FIR coefficients for a finite impulse response (FIR) filter of the RF transmitter based on windowing the Fourier coefficients.

Abstract: A wireless device initiates an Up-Link Trigger Based Multi-User communication by transmitting a trigger frame. The communication may be an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access communication. The trigger frame includes allocation information for resources of the communication, including Random Access (RA) allocation information. The trigger frame may also include a padding field after the allocation information. A length of the padding field is determined according to an amount of time needed for a station receiving the trigger frame to process the RA allocation information. The amount of time may correspond to a time between an end of a last RA allocation information and an end of a Physical layer Protocol Data Unit including the trigger frame. The amount of time may be determined according to a maximum processing time of stations associated with the wireless device, or may be determined according to a predetermined interval.
