The method includes wirelessly transmitting a first preemption physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) that includes a complete preamble followed by one or more subsequent preemption PPDUs that each include a reduced preamble, wherein the complete preamble includes one or more preamble fields that are omitted in the reduced preamble, wherein the first PPDU and the one or more subsequent preemption PPDUs are transmitted with a predefined interframe space interval between PPDU transmissions during which preemption is allowed.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method performed by wireless device in a wireless network to allow low latency transmissions between frames. The method includes generating a request frame that includes a long interframe space indication indicating that frames are to be wirelessly transmitted using a long interframe space interval, wherein the long interframe space interval is longer than at least one other interframe space interval used in the wireless network, wherein low latency transmissions are allowed during long interframe space intervals. The method further includes transmitting the request frame and wirelessly transmitting one or more frames using the long interframe space interval after wirelessly transmitting the request frame.

    Abstract: Coordinated spatial reuse and frequency utilization techniques in overlapping basic service set environments for IEEE 802.11be and beyond. The techniques involve transmit power and frequency allocation methods designed for coordinated spatial reuse between multiple access points, considering interference from stations and access points, as well as occupied bandwidth. In one embodiment, an access point generates a trigger frame with punctured bandwidth or good subchannel information to coordinate spatial reuse, enabling a station to transmit an uplink data packet using specified parameters. In another embodiment, a station receives a trigger frame with punctured bandwidth information and transmits an uplink data packet excluding the puncture portion to avoid interference. The techniques allow transmissions in multiple basic service sets to coexist without harmful interference, improving throughput and frequency utilization in dense wireless networks. Although primarily described in the context of IEEE 802.11, the techniques can be applied to other wireless networks.
