Dyestuffs of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, alkyl or aralkyl,R.sub.2 represents R.sub.1 or aryl,A represents C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkylene,X represents R.sub.2 or acyl,n represents 1-7,m represents 1 or 2 andthe rings B and D can contain customary radicals,with the proviso that n is at least 2 if X represents acyl,give, when mixed with emulsifiers, dyestuff preparations which are in the liquid or dissolved form under dyeing conditions. The use of additional dispersing agents, protective colloids, levelling agents and carriers when dyeing polyester fibres thereby becomes superfluous.

Disperse dyestuffs of the formula ##STR1## wherein Q.sub.1 and Q.sub.2 are hydrogen or the group V-(A-O).sub.n Z, but do not at the same time represent hydrogen, A -- denotes an alkylene group, V -- denotes a direct bond or a bridge member, Z -- denotes hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or acyl and N -- denotes an integer from 2-10 and the rings A, B and D can be further substituted. The dyestuffs are suitable for dyeing polyester fibres from an aqueous liquor by the exhaustion process since they are distinguished by a good affinity and build-up power. The dyeings are very clear and display good general fastness properties, such as fastness to light, sublimation and measuring.

Trisaminopyridines of the formula ##STR1## are prepared by reacting a pyridinium salt of the formula ##STR2## with an organic amine having the formula R.sub.3 NH.sub.2 at a temperature of 110.degree. C. to 130.degree. C.;in whichX is --CN, --CONQ.sub.1 Q.sub.2 or --COOQ.sub.3 ;R is substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, or aryl;R.sub.1 is substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aralkyl or aryl;Q.sub.1 and Q.sub.2 independently of one another are hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl; or conjointly with the nitrogen atom form a 5-membered or 6-membered heterocyclic structure; andQ.sub.3 is alkyl or aralkyl.Where X is --CONQ.sub.1 Q.sub.2 or --COOQ.sub.3, the --CN group in the starting pyridinium salt is subsequently converted in the known manner to --CONQ.sub.1 Q.sub.2 or --COOQ.sub.3. The trisaminopyridines are useful as intermediates for preparation of azo dyestuffs by coupling with diazo components in the known manner.
