    Abstract: A terminal crimping unit providing improved functionality. The pressuring unit is installed on the terminal crimping unit. The pressuring unit is equipped with a plural number of pressure members for crimping the terminal fittings. The plural number of pressure members are unified in one frame body. The frame body is designed such that can be taken off and put on as one unit from the shank. By having only one motion for putting on and taking off the frame body, the plural number of pressuring members, including the crimpers, can be maintained as one unit.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an altered-type human ALT gene in which the codons for the five amino acids in the human ALT (alanine aminotransferase) gene are replaced, i. e. the fourth amino acid codon from the initiation codon for methionine (Met) is replaced by a codon for serine (Ser), the fifth by a codon for threonine (Thr), the seventh by a codon for aspartic acid (Asp), the 39th by a codon for glycine (Gly) and the 222nd by a codon for alanine (Ala), and concurrently, restriction sites are added at the upstream and downstream of said gene. The active human ALT having properties similar to those of the native enzyme can be effectively produced by culturing E. coli transformed with a recombinant plasmid in which the altered-type human ALT gene of the present invention is ligated to a vector.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for transferring a centrifugally separated component in a liquid contained in a flexible bag is disclosed. The apparatus is composed of a centrifugal container for accommodating flexible blood collecting bag filled with blood, and a pushing mechanism for pushing the blood collecting bag. The pushing mechanism is composed of a pair of rollers for pushing a soft material part of the cylindrical portion of the centrifugal container from opposite directions in such a manner that the soft material part is deformed inwardly to project inside the centrifugal container and increase inner pressure of the flexible bag to transfer separated component out of the flexible bag. According to the apparatus and method, the yield for collecting the separated component obtained by centrifugal separation can be increased, and the time required for collection can be decreased.
