摘要: Apparatuses for a hydrant, as well as associated methods for installing the same, may be directed to a threaded stem for actuating a hydrant outlet valve at a first end of the stem. An attachment nut may define a bore for supporting the stem in the hydrant. The attachment nut defines a cavity configured to receive water from a barrel of the hydrant. The attachment nut also defines a water access passage extending through an outer wall of the attachment nut to the cavity. The apparatus also includes a sensor in fluid communication with the cavity to obtain sensor data for the water in the barrel.

摘要: A computerized device for driving assistance comprises a memory (4) designed to receive data point cloud data (8) in which a point cloud associates, for a given instant, points each having coordinates in a plane associated with the point cloud and a value denoting a height. The device furthermore comprises a calculator (6) designed to access the memory (4) and, for a given point cloud, to calculate data on the probability of belonging to a reference surface, associated with each point of the data point cloud, on the one hand, and node data associating a value denoting a height (hi) and two values indicating a slope in a plane associated with the plane of the given point cloud, on the other hand, by determining a Gaussian random conditional field by way of the data point cloud data (8) corresponding to the given point cloud, which Gaussian random conditional field is represented by a mesh of nodes in said associated plane, which nodes are defined by the node data, and to return the data on the probability of belonging to a reference surface and/or at least some of the node data and values denoting a height.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for reducing network traffic in a mesh network by reducing the number of status messages communicated over the network. The nodes of the network can provide status information to a gateway based on each node's distance from the gateway. The closer nodes respond to the request from the gateway first and then the farther nodes respond to the request. When a node is ready to transmit a status message with status information to the gateway, the node sends the message to the nodes in communication with the transmitting node. One of the closer nodes that receives the message then forwards the message to additional nodes in communication with the forwarding node, while the other nodes that received the message do not forward the message. The process of forwarding messages by a single closer node is repeated until the status information is received by the gateway.

摘要: To speed up a firmware update process, a gateway performs an expedited topological discovery of networked nodes. The gateway maintains a list of unlinked network nodes that are not known to share good edges with other nodes. The gateway transmits a topology query to a selected unlinked node, which the node retransmits to its neighboring nodes. Each neighboring node responds to the gateway with a link status of the edge between the queried node and the neighbor. The queried node and each neighboring node with an edge of sufficient link quality are removed from the list of unlinked nodes. The process is repeated until no networked nodes remain in the list of unlinked nodes. The gateway then sends a firmware update to nodes that will in turn retransmit the update over identified good edges.

摘要: Circuitry of an optical line terminal (OLT) can be controlled to be compatible with optical modules of different optical protocols having different electrical connectivity requirements. In some embodiments, the OLT has a controller that is configured to communicate with an optical module plugged or otherwise mated with a socket of the OLT in order to discover a module type of the optical module. Based on the detected module type, the controller is configured to control the electrical characteristics of the OLT circuitry so that it is compatible with the electrical and operational requirements of the optical module. Thus, the OLT is compatible for use with any of a plurality of optical module types.

摘要: The invention provides chimeric antigen receptor(s) (CAR(s)) that comprise a fusion protein of CTX or any functional variant thereof or a CTX-like peptide or any functional variant thereof as the extracellular antigen recognition moiety of the CAR. CAR(s) comprising CTX, a CTX-like peptide or functional variants of the foregoing are collectively referred to herein as “CTX-CAR(s).” Such CTX-CAR(s) may further comprise additional moieties or domains in the extracellular domain, a transmembrane domain and at least one intracellular! signaling domain. Such CTX-CAR(s) may be expressed in a host cell, such as, but not limited to, an immune effector cell. The present invention also provides methods of treatment (such as, for example, methods for treating cancer) by providing to the patient in need thereof immune effector cells that are engineered to express a CTX-CAR described herein.

摘要: A weather forecasting system has a data processing system that receives weather data from one or more sources and processes such data in conjunction with a weather forecasting algorithm in order to forecast weather for one or more geographic regions. In this regard, the weather data is input into a machine learning algorithm, which applies learned weights and relationships to the inputs in order to calculate at least one score indicating a probability that precipitation or other weather event will occur in the future within a certain time period (e.g., within the next 1 hour or some other unit of time) in one or more geographic regions. For each such geographic region, the weather forecasting logic may also predict the extent to which rain or other precipitation, lightning, or other weather event will occur during the time period.

摘要: A memory system performs analog sanitization of memory using a partial programming operation to overwrite existing data taking into account the relative voltage levels in the memory cells. By taking into account the relative voltage levels, the timing of a partial programming operation can be controlled to provide matched voltage levels in the memory cells so that conventional computer forensic techniques for data recovery are ineffective.

摘要: A method for radiation hardening flash memory performs accelerated aging on the flash memory by program-erase (PE) cycling the flash memory. Such accelerated aging induces trap states in the tunnel oxide layer of the flash memory, which results in improved ionizing radiation tolerance. The number of cycles used to harden a given memory cell is optimally determined in order to limit effects of the radiation hardening on the reliability of the cell.
