    Abstract: Disclosed in the present invention are an image processing method and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, the image processing method can comprise the steps of: extracting encoded image data from a bitstream received from an encoder; decoding the encoded image data so as to generate a reconstructed image; determining a category of a current pixel by comparing a pixel value of the current pixel in the reconstructed image with pixel values of neighboring pixels of the current pixel; generating an offset applied to the current pixel on the basis of a difference value between pixel values of pixels, determined according to the category, among the neighboring pixels and the pixel value of the current pixel; and compensating for the current pixel by adding the offset to the pixel value of the current pixel.

    Abstract: A method and a device for processing an intra prediction mode based video are disclosed. More specifically, a method for processing a video based on an intra-prediction mode may include determining a left prediction mode and an upper prediction mode using a prediction mode of a block neighboring a current block, wherein the left prediction mode and the upper prediction mode are determined based on a split structure of the block neighboring the current block; constructing a most probable mode (MPM) candidate list of the current block using the left prediction mode and the upper prediction mode; determining a prediction mode of the current block using a MPM index indicating a specific prediction mode in the MPM candidate list; and generating a prediction block of the current block using the prediction mode of the current block.

    Abstract: Disclosed are an image coding/decoding method and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, a method for decoding an image by a decoding apparatus may include: deriving an intra prediction mode of a current block; configuring reference samples with samples neighboring to an upper end and samples neighboring to a left side of the current block; generating a prediction block of the current block by using the reference sample; and filtering a sample adjacent to a top boundary and/or a left boundary of the current block among the prediction samples, in which when the current block is a non-square block, whether to filter the sample adjacent to the top boundary of the current block may be determined by considering only a width of the current block and whether to filter the sample adjacent to the left boundary of the current block may be determined by considering only a height of the current block.

    Abstract: An image encoding method according to the present invention, which is performed by an encoding apparatus, comprises the steps of: generating an adaptive motion vector range (AMVR) enable flag; deriving a motion vector difference (MVD) with respect to a current block; deriving a representative MVD value of an MVD range including a value of the MVD from among a plurality of MVD ranges; generating a coded MVD corresponding to the representative MVD value; and outputting the AMVR enable flag and the coded MVD through a bit stream. According to the present invention, the amount of bits allocated to an MVD can be reduced and the overall coding efficiency can thus be increased.
