    摘要: An object proximity alarm system comprising: a receiving bracelet, wherein said receiving bracelet includes a plurality of LED indicators; a plurality of transmitters, where each transmitter is associated with a LED indicator on the receiving bracelet and each transmitter transmit a signal to the receiving bracelet; a predetermined range associated with each signal transmitted; and an alarm on the receiving bracelet, where the alarm is triggered when on of the transmitter signal goes beyond the predetermined range associated with the transmitter. The alarm may include at least one of audio alarm, visual alarm associated with each LED indicator and a vibrating alarm. The transmitter may include a sticky surface or a hook and loop fastener for attachment onto an object.

The system also monitors non-mobile parameters (e.g., battery life, door locks, windows) in the items. Different technologies (e.g., wireless) are provided for communicating between the beacons and a beacon controller interface. Different technologies are provided for locating and indicating item positions. The beacons and the interface provide for new beacons to be added to the system with different characteristics than the existing beacons for monitoring the operation of new beacons without affecting the operation of existing beacons. The system includes resellers, retailers, users and subscribers in a flexible relationship to enhance the ease in the system operation. Beacons can perform more than one function (e.g. tracking, threshold monitoring) simultaneously. Scenarios for the beacons can be created and monitored. Recovery personnel can intervene to resolve crises.

    摘要: Methods of detecting proximity between a mobile terminal and a wireless accessory device having an associated support function for use with the mobile terminal include establishing a wireless communication connection between the wireless accessory device and the mobile terminal. The established wireless communication connection is utilized to provide the associated support function. In addition, a wireless signal having a limited range is communicated between the mobile terminal and the wireless accessory device. The wireless signal indicates a proximity between the mobile terminal and the wireless accessory device. An alert signal indicating that the proximity between the mobile terminal and the wireless accessory device has exceeded a predetermined range is provided responsive to the communicated wireless signal when the established wireless communication connection is not being utilized to provide the associated support function.     摘要: A child safety alarm device has a main housing that protectively contains electronics, a battery power source, a digital display clock and an audible alarm. When activated, the alarm generates a loud audible signal that preferably includes a repeating voice message combined with an intermittent shrill noise in the audible range of between 80 to 100 decibels. A flexible band, constructed of materials that resist cutting, extends from the main housing and wraps around a child's wrist or ankle. The audible alarm signal is activated by depressing a panic button on the main housing, concealed below a protective cover, or, alternatively, with the use of a wireless remote control device carried by a parent or guardian. Deactivation of the continuous audible alarm signal requires entry of a predetermined code using entry buttons on the device housing.

Preferred embodiments of the apparatus are adapted for generating and broadcasting pulsed transmissions optimized for electronic tagging, tracking, and “homing” applications. This makes the invention excellent for radiolocating “terrorists”, criminal suspects, vehicles, and etc., under surveillance. The apparatus is well adapted for “high-risk surveillance targets”, where avoiding sophisticated surveillance detection is paramount The invention uses nondescript “stealth packaging” in various preferred form-factors, that can appear, e.g., to be either a protruding bolt-head, a gas-cap, a wheel-balancing lug, or other nondescript automotive or truck part (depending on embodiment). The preferred signal transmission method uses ultra-low power, pulsed transmissions which are generated and encrypted prior to transmission, using (either proprietary or non-proprietary) spread spectrum signal algorithm-based transmission schemes, or other transmission schemes. Very-low-noise signal detection circuits in a base station receive and decrypt signals, to complete the system.

    摘要: Method and apparatus to provide a wireless tether system is described. In one embodiment, one or more wireless tether apparatuses are in wireless communication with one or more base units. A wireless tether apparatus may be configured such that when separated from a base unit greater than a predetermined distance, such a wireless tether apparatus provides information to the user of the wireless tether apparatus to aid a user such as a human, animal, or machine in finding their way back to a desired location. A predetermined distance may be configured to change over time to accommodate different tether distance requirements at different times, e.g., closer to a home location at night and further away from the home location during the day. In one aspect, wireless tether apparatuses and base units communicate using a plurality of different communication modes such that when one mode fails other modes are utilized to reestablish a connection therebetween. In another aspect of the present invention, a plurality of wireless tether apparatuses are wirelessly tethered together such that individual proximities are maintained but still allow a plurality of wireless tether apparatus users to move about in an expanded range. In one aspect, a wireless tether system is employed such that one or more wireless tether apparatuses may be dynamically assigned to a plurality of base stations to allow changes to wireless tether apparatus locations and distances. In another aspect, when wireless tether apparatuses leave a predetermined tether distance, one or more alerts may be broadcast from the wireless tether apparatuses indicative thereof to other wireless signal receivers in proximity thereto not normally used as wireless tether signal receivers.

The master unit includes a master switch to indicate that the child is fasten in the car seat, and the master alarm includes a LED and horn. The master unit will activate the master alarm when the master switch is closed and there is no communication with the slave unit. The master unit includes a FM receiver to receive data from the slave unit, and the master unit includes a FM transmitter to transmit data to the slave unit.
