Abstract:
A method of operating a doorbell system can include receiving, by a remote computing device, a notification of an emergency event and in response to the receiving, illuminating at least one light of a doorbell to indicate an occurrence of the emergency event. The method can further include, in response to receiving the notification, initiating a communication with an emergency dispatcher and/or an emergency contact. The at least one light can illuminate in a variety of colors and illumination patterns corresponding to the type of emergency event.
Abstract:
A deterrent device communication apparatus is linked to a deterrent device. When the deterrent device is in a ready state, the communication apparatus cooperates with an intermediate communication device to establish a communication path with an emergency response center through which the holder of the deterrent device can communicate.
Abstract:
Present application provides a camera base device with screw-in plug. They can be paired as two units or they can be designed as a single device. Aforementioned base device includes a retractable body and a screw-in plug. The retractable body includes a plurality of serially connected segments, and two ends of retractable body respectively connected with the screw-in plug and a connector which is used to combine the external camera device. Therefore, user may adjust the length of the retractable body to avoid the installation environment effecting the operation of the camera device.
Abstract:
An arrangement for a monitoring camera device having a camera head being movable within a movement range (MR1, MR2) is provided. The arrangement comprises an enclosure for covering the interior of the monitoring camera device and having an opening for the camera head providing a free line of sight for an arbitrary camera head position within the movement range (MR1, MR2), a shield movably arranged relative the enclosure for masking parts of the opening not being used for providing the free line of sight for the arbitrary camera head position, the shield comprising a first and a second shield portion mutually movably arranged, wherein the shield is maneuverable between a compressed state and an extended state by movement of the first shield portion relative to the second shield portion. A monitoring camera device comprising the arrangement is further provided.
Abstract:
A light for use in a light fixture includes a light source adapted to produce light in an area including the light and a connector configured for connection to the fixture. The light further includes a communication apparatus configured to generate one or more signals indicative of a presence of a person in the area, and a controller that is operative to control the light source in a normal mode in response to the one or more signals.

Abstract:
A wireless door intrusion detection assembly including a magnet component installed on a door, and a fixed magnetic contact wireless transceiver component installed on a door frame corresponding to the door, opposite the magnet component, the fixed magnetic contact wireless transceiver component including a two-way transceiver element operable for two-way wireless communication between the fixed magnetic contact wireless transceiver component and an intrusion alarm system, an antenna facilitating the two-way wireless communication between the fixed magnetic contact wireless transceiver component and the intrusion alarm system, and an antenna ground reference plane, opposite the antenna.
Abstract:
Doorbell systems can include a doorbell, a chime, and a remote computing device. In some embodiments, the remote computing device can select a sound. A data file comprising information that represents the sound can be sent to the doorbell that is communicatively coupled to the remote computing device. The doorbell can send the data file to the chime that is communicatively coupled to the doorbell and remotely located with respect to the doorbell.
Abstract:
To readily and effectively take a crime and disaster prevention countermeasure, there is provided an information processing apparatus including an acquirer that, when a crime and disaster prevention assistant device is connected to a portable communication terminal, acquires specifying information for specifying the crime and disaster prevention assistant device from the crime and disaster prevention assistant device via the portable communication terminal, a driver executor that executes a driver program corresponding to the specifying information to control the crime and disaster prevention assistant device, and an application executor that executes a crime and disaster prevention application program corresponding to the specifying information to acquire status detection information detected by the crime and disaster prevention assistant device connected to the portable communication terminal, specifies countermeasure processing corresponding to the acquired status detection information with reference to a management database, and controls the crime and disaster prevention assistant device via the portable communication terminal based on the countermeasure processing.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes an intrusion detection unit that detects an intrusion of an intruder; an imaging unit that images a monitor area; an imaging control unit that activates the imaging unit and causes the imaging unit to start imaging; and an imaging instruction unit that instructs the imaging control unit to activate the imaging unit and cause the imaging unit to start imaging, in a case where the image processing apparatus is in an energy-saving mode, in which the imaging unit is inactive, when the intrusion detection unit detects the intrusion of the intruder, without switching the energy-saving mode to a normal mode, in which the imaging unit and an image forming unit for forming an image on a recording medium are active.
