摘要: The invention introduces a method for compressing texture tiles, which contains at least the following steps: classifying each pixel of a texture tile into one of a plurality of groups and generating a bitmap of the texture tile, wherein the bitmap contains information indicating to which group each pixel of the texture tile belongs; reducing dependencies between pixels of each group; lossless-encoding each pixel of the texture tile to generate a first compression result; and outputting the first compression result and the bitmap.

摘要: A system and method for entering text within a video game application are described. For example, a system according to one embodiment of the invention comprises: a video game hosting service to execute a video game in response to user input; a client device to communicate with the video game hosting service over a first communication channel, wherein the client device has a first user input device communicatively coupled thereto, and wherein control signals for the video game are generated in response to input from the first user input device and transmitted from the client device to the video game hosting service over the first communication channel, the video game hosting service controlling a video game in response to receipt of the control signals; a display device communicatively coupled to the client device, the display device to display video of the video game; wherein the video game hosting service further includes program code to open a second communication channel to receive text input, the second communication channel being separate and independent from the first communication channel and usable by a data processing device capable of generating text input, wherein in response to receipt of text input over the second communication channel, the video game hosting service causes the text input to be displayed on the display device communicatively coupled to the client device.

摘要: A distributed video encoding system splits an input video into video segments. The video segments are encoded using multiple video encoding nodes. Prior to the process of splitting the sequence into video segments, the video is analyzed to generate a dependency map. Intelligent segmentation is performed using the dependency map so that each video segment includes all the video frames from which other video frames within that segment have been encoded in the input video. For example, picture headers are inspected to determine the temporal distance of the farthest past and future reference frames used for encoding frames of a video.

摘要: A video data decoding device and method. The device has an entropy decoder, and a WPP status control module for selecting an operating status according to a syntax structure of a coding tree unit. The device further has a memory selector for controlling the operating status of a memory. The memory has one buffer memory and two update memories. When the number of columns of a row of coding tree units currently decoded is larger than three, the context data of the coding tree units currently decoded is written into the buffer memory and one of the update memories; and when it is determined that the context data of the coding tree units referred by a first coding tree unit in a next row of coding tree units is available when the next row of coding tree units starts to be parsed, the data in the buffer memory is replicated.

In some embodiments the method comprises obtaining a stripe comprising magnitude bits of two or more coefficients on at least one bit-plane and on another bit-plane, said coefficients representing an image or a part of the image. 摘要: A method for encoding a video signal includes estimating a space requirement for encoding a tile of a video frame, writing a first value in a first value space of the bitstream, wherein the first value describes a size of a second value space, and defining the second value space in the bitstream, wherein the size of the second value space is based on an estimated space requirement. The method also includes writing encoded content in a content space of the bitstream, determining a size of the content space subsequent to writing encoded content in the content space, and writing a second value in the second value space of the bitstream, wherein the second value describes the size of the content space.
