The complex negative feedback frequency selection output circuit according to the present invention, frequency-selectively relays only the residual components of one of a signal in phase with (or a signal opposite in phase to) a feedback processed signal obtained by negative feeding back a feedback signal to an input frequency signal, with a rejected frequency band being left out, while relaying at least a real number component of the other, and comprises a feedback path which relays a difference signal between (or a sum signal of) the selectively relayed output and the relayed output of the real number component, as the feedback signal. The gain of a loop including this feedback path is variable and can be set manually or automatically.

    摘要: An integrated receiver with channel selection and image rejection substantially implemented on a single CMOS integrated circuit. A receiver front end provides programmable attenuation and a programmable gain low noise amplifier. LC filters integrated onto the substrate in conjunction with image reject mixers provide image frequency rejection. Filter tuning and inductor Q compensation over temperature are performed on chip. Active filters utilize multi track spiral inductors with shields to increase circuit Q. The filters incorporate a gain stage that provides improved dynamic range through the use of cross coupled auxiliary differential pair CMOS amplifiers to cancel distortion in a main linearized differential pair amplifier. Frequency planning provides additional image rejection. Local oscillator signal generation methods on chip reduce distortion. A PLL generates needed out of band LO signals. Direct synthesis generates in band LO signals. PLL VCOs are centered automatically. A differential crystal oscillator provides a frequency reference. Differential signal transmission throughout the receiver is used. ESD protection is provided by a pad ring and ESD clamping structure. Shunts utilize a gate boosting at each pin to discharge ESD build up. An IF VGA utilizes distortion cancellation achieved with cross coupled differential pair amplifiers having their Vds dynamically modified in conjunction with current steering of the differential pairs sources.

    摘要: An injection-locked frequency divider is provided. The injection-locked frequency divider includes a voltage control oscillator (VCO) and a mixer. The VCO includes a LC resonance tank and a negative-resistance generator for generating a differential oscillation signal including a first and a second oscillation signals. The LC resonance tank adjusts a VCO reactance and resonates for generating the differential oscillation signal. The negative-resistance generator coupled to the LC resonance tank eliminates an equivalent resistance generated by the LC resonance tank and maintains the VCO to continuously oscillate. The mixer has a first and a second local input terminals respectively receiving the first and second injected signals included in a differential injected signal, and the first and second radio frequency input terminals respectively receiving the first and second oscillation signals for mixing the differential injected signal with the differential oscillation signal to adjust the output frequency of the differential oscillation signal.
