摘要: The present invention relates to an electron tube comprising, at least, a cathode electrode, a face plate having a photocathode, and an electron entrance surface provided at a position where the electron emitted from the photocathode reaches. The object of the present invention is to provide an electron tube which can reduce its size and has a structure for improving the workability in its assembling process. In particular, the electron tube according to the present invention has a bonding ring, provided between the face plate and the cathode electrode, for bonding the face plate and the cathode electrode together. The bonding ring is made of a metal material selected from the group consisting of In, Au, Pb, alloys containing In, and alloys containing Pb.

摘要: A process is disclosed which prepares a low pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp having a bulb and an end plate connected to the bottom of the bulb. The steps involve the application of an adhesive on one surface of the end plate, and the subsequent insertion of an exhaust tube into the end plate in such a way that an enlarged diameter portion of the exhust tube has an adhesive formed on this portion. As a result of the location and the structure of the steps, it is possible to provide a single step method of heating which functions to perform the essential bonding of all parts.

摘要: Both legs (1a, 1b) of a U-shaped bulb are brought into a mutually contacting state or are opposed to each other with a space of gap (31) and end parts (1a', 1b') of the legs are directly put on an end plate (10) so as to form an electric discharge path in the U-shaped bulb. Since the legs (1a, 1b) are in contact with each other within limit of elastic deformation of a connecting part (2a) of the bulb (1), breakage of the bulb is avoidable even when an external force is applied to the bulb so as to bring the legs (1a, 1b) closer.

摘要: A drift tube construction includes a thin wall aluminum tube with a thin wire at its center attached to a terminal. The tube is plugged at both ends. The terminal is embedded at the center of the plug with material insulating it from Drift tube main body. The Drift tube assembly is sealed and filled with a gas mixture. A voltage is applied to the thin wire via the terminal. Current drift tubes employ plastic material to insulate the terminal from Drift tube main body and O-rings to provide a near hermetic seal.

摘要: The present invention relates to a photomultiplier having a structure for making it possible to easily realize high detection accuracy and fine processing, and a method of manufacturing the same. The photomultiplier comprises an enclosure having an inside kept in a vacuum state, whereas a photocathode emitting electrons in response to incident light, an electron multiplier section multiplying in a cascading manner the electron emitted from the photocathode, and an anode for taking out a secondary electron generated in the electron multiplier section are arranged in the enclosure. A part of the enclosure is constructed by a glass substrate having a flat part, whereas each of the electron multiplier section and anode is two-dimensionally arranged on the flat part in the glass substrate.

摘要: A ceramic metal halide lamp according to various embodiments can include a discharge vessel and an ionizable fill. The ionizable fill is sealed within the discharge vessel. The ionizable fill includes an oxygen dispenser to introduce oxygen in a form of a pellet into the discharge vessel in a controlled manner to facilitate a tungsten halogen wall cleaning cycle. The pellet comprises aluminum-oxide and molybdenum-oxide.
