Abstract:
According to an exemplary embodiment, a computer-implemented method of processing transactions initiated by a payer includes: providing administrative control that enables an administrator to specify predetermined transaction characteristics to be applied to subsequent electronic transactions; storing the predetermined transaction characteristics electronically; receiving an electronic payment authorization request submitted by a payee, the payment authorization request associated with a subsequent transaction initiated by the payer and having a set of submitted transaction characteristics; comparing the set of submitted transaction characteristics against the predetermined transaction characteristics; sending an approval or a denial of the payment authorization request to a payer fulfillment system on the basis of at least the results of the comparison.
Abstract:
A system and method for adding value to a customer account are provided. An identifier associated with a value is distributed to a customer. The identifier is usable to add the value to an account. A request to add the value to a customer account is received via short message service (SMS). The request comprises the identifier and account identification information associated with the customer account. In some embodiments, the identifier may be entered into the device using text auto-completion software. The request is received from a user communication device as an SMS message. The value associated with the identifier and the customer account associated with the account identification number are identified based on the request. The value is caused to be added to the customer account. A confirmation that the value was added to the customer account is passed to the user communication device.
Abstract:
Embodiments related to payments linked to a mobile number are described herein. In an embodiment, a payment request is received from a payee device for a payment on behalf of payer. A mobile number associated with the payer is determined, and an authorization request for the payment is transmit to the mobile number. A payment authorization from a device associated with the mobile number is received. A transaction request is submit to a financial institution associated with the payer to make the payment to payee. The payer and payee are notified as to a result of the transaction request.
Abstract:
In various embodiments, advertising campaigns can be defined that incorporate technologies such as two-dimensional bar codes or embedded links in electronic material, for directing a user to communicate with a call center. For instance, in particular embodiments, the reading of a two-dimensional bar code by a user with a smart phone may cause various forms of communication requesting a return communication. The communication from the smart phone may be sent to, and received at, the call center, where a calling campaign associated with an advertising campaign is identified using information associated with the communication. A responding communication may be initiated from the call center to the user.
Abstract:
Techniques are provided for generating a transaction alert for a transaction whether the transaction was processed by a first payment processing network associated with an alerting platform or the transaction was processed by a second payment processing network not associated with an alert platform. An authorization request message associated with a transaction is received by a transaction processing server configured to receive authorization request messages from a first payment network and a second payment network. If the authorization request message was routed through the second payment network, alert initiation data is transmitted to an alert platform associated with the first payment network. The alert platform is configured to apply at least one alert criterion to the alert initiation data to determine if an alert is to be generated, generate the alert, and transmit the alert to a mobile application.
Abstract:
Systems, methods and computer program products for processing payments for a proxy card are provided. Embodiments of the system include a processor, and a memory in communication with the processor. The memory may be configured to store processing instructions for directing the processor to receive a request for authorization of a payment. In various embodiments, the request is triggered at a merchant server, by the use of a proxy card of the customer. The processor attempts to identify at least one desired payment mode for making the payment, from among payment mode(s) associated with the proxy card. The processor first selects the payment modes based at least in part on one or more selection criteria, such as predefined customer goals, and then the processor performs an authorization check to identify the desired payment modes. Subsequently, the processor authorizes the payment if at least one desired payment mode is identified.
Abstract:
A system, method and mobile application for conducting financial transactions wherein a mobile device operated by a user is operably coupled to a server over a mobile communication network. Both the server and the user's mobile device store a user encryption key (UEK) and a user access key (UAK). A software application stored on the user's mobile device and the server are configured to conduct a transaction wherein a session key (SK) specific to the transaction is exchanged in an encrypted form based upon the UEK. The software application is further configured to i) generate transaction data, ii) access the UAK stored on the mobile device, iii) encrypt the UAK and transaction data into an encrypted form based upon the SK, and iv) send the UAK and transaction data in encrypted form from the mobile device to the server over the mobile communication network in order to conduct the transaction.
Abstract:
Example communication systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a method receives a first message from a user and extracts a user identity and a transaction request. An alias identity is assigned to the user identity. A second message is transmitted to a merchant device in which the second message includes the alias identity and the transaction request. The method receives a third message from the merchant device and extracts the alias identity and a transaction completion confirmation from the third message. A fourth message, which includes the transaction completion confirmation, is communicated to the user based on the user identity.
Abstract:
A screen display program causes a mobile terminal communicably connected to a server to execute an initial message acquisition procedure that includes acquiring a first message group from among a plurality of messages from the server, an initial message display procedure that includes displaying messages of the first message group sequentially according to an operation of a user, an additional message acquisition procedure that includes acquiring, when a number of undisplayed messages to be displayed sequentially among the messages of the first message group becomes less than or equal to a predetermined number, a second message group different from the first message group from among the plurality of messages from the server, and an additional message display procedure that includes displaying messages of the second message group sequentially following the messages of the first message group.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method of effectuating an electronic on-line payment includes receiving at a computer server system a text message from a payor containing a payment request representing a payment amount sent by a payor device operating independently of the computer server system, determining a payment amount associated with the text message and debiting a payor account for an amount corresponding to the amount of the payment request, and crediting an account of a payee that is independent of the computer server system.
