    摘要: A welding clamp system using a fixture plate with a bulkhead that allows the clamp system to be coupled to a robotic arm. The robotic arm supplies air and electricity through pneumatic and electrical ports, enabling operation of the clamp system. The air is routed to pneumatic cylinders, which power a pneumatic clamp mechanism that moves sliding clamp fixtures along tracks. The sliding clamp fixtures press a work piece against immobile clamp fixtures, allowing a work piece to be secured and held during welding. Presence of a work piece is detected by proximity sensors which are mounted into the fixture. The clamp system allows a robotic arm to grab a work piece from a supply area, initiate and complete welding of the work piece, and then release the work piece onto a discharge station for removal of the completed work piece.

    摘要: Some embodiments are directed to a duct assembly for cooling a brake assembly of a vehicle. The duct assembly can include a hollow inlet section that is disposed at the vehicle sub-frame and configured to capture air from beneath the vehicle sub-frame; and a hollow intermediate section that communicates with the inlet section so as to form a contiguous channel therewith. The intermediate section can be disposed entirely within the vehicle sub-frame. A hollow outlet section can communicate with the intermediate section so as to form a contiguous channel between the inlet, intermediate and outlet sections. The outlet section can be disposed and configured to direct the air captured by the inlet section to the front end of the brake assembly to thereby cool at least a portion of the brake assembly.

    摘要: A method of assembling a front end assembly of a vehicle is provided. The method includes integrally forming a positioning and reinforcement structure having a relatively rectilinear configuration comprising a top support member, a bottom support member, a first side member and a second side member. The method also includes detachably coupling a first wing structure to the first side member. The method further includes operably mounting a first fender assembly to a first side flange of the first wing structure. The method yet further includes operably coupling a centering bracket proximate the top support member. The method also includes locating and centering the positioning and reinforcement structure to a hood with the centering bracket. The method further includes fixedly securing the positioning and reinforcement structure to a radiator support disposed rearwardly of the positioning and reinforcement structure.
