摘要: A brake disc assembly includes a central drive hub and a wear disc, which includes first and second faces held together axially about the hub. Each face has a respective inner surface and is formed of at least two distinct segments. Each segment extends between two radial edges. The radial edges of the segments of one face do not extend opposite the radial edges of the segments of the other face. Each segment of the face is adapted to be secured to a segment of the other face via at least one fastening member adapted to hold said faces.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a brake drum for a drum brake for a vehicle. The brake drum comprises a braking surface adapted to receive at least one brake shoe of the drum brake. The brake drum further comprises a cooling arrangement comprising a set of cooling conduits located between a braking surface and an outer surface.
The material of the brake drum located radially between the set of cooling conduits and the braking surface at an inner axial cross-section has an inner axial aggregate thermal conductance and the material of the brake drum located radially between the set of cooling conduits and the braking surface at the outer axial cross-section has an outer axial aggregate thermal conductance.
Accordingly, the inner axial aggregate thermal conductance is different from the outer axial aggregate thermal conductance.-

摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including medium-encoded computer program products, for designing lattice structures for heat dissipating devices include a method including: obtaining a 3D model of a device that passes a fluid through an internal structure of the device, including a lattice for the internal structure; performing computational fluid dynamics simulation using the 3D model to generate fluid turbulence data that indicates fluid flows through the lattice for the internal structure; modifying a first density in accordance with the fluid turbulence data; performing computational structural simulation using the 3D model and defined loading condition(s) for the device to generate structural integrity data that indicates a structural weakness of the device; modifying a second density in accordance with the structural integrity data; and providing the 3D model of the device, the 3D model including the modified first density and the modified second density.

摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including medium-encoded computer program products, for designing and manufacturing rotors for disc brake systems and apparatus include, in one aspect, a method including: placing a lattice structure in a ventilation space within a 3D model to create more internal surface area within a disc brake rotor between inner and outer rotor discs; adjusting a number of lattice unit cells for the lattice structure in different regions of the 3D model between the rotor discs to increase air turbulence in the ventilation space; adjusting one or more thicknesses of beams forming the lattice structure in different regions of the 3D model between the rotor discs to prevent structural failure under predefined loading conditions; and providing an updated version of the 3D model of the disc brake rotor that incorporates the lattice structure after adjustment of the number of lattice unit cells and the beam thickness(es).

摘要: A parking brake and anti-theft apparatus as described herein may include a brake assembly, a linear actuator and a plurality of locking pins. The brake assembly may include a rotor plate. The rotor plate may include a plurality of openings in and/or through the rotor plate. The plurality of locking pins may be extendable by the linear actuator. The pins may be aligned perpendicular to a face of the rotor plate such that, as at least one of the pins is disposed over one of the plurality of openings and the actuator extends the plurality of locking pins, the pin disposed over the one of the plurality of openings passes into the one of the plurality of openings. In various embodiments, the plurality of pins may comprise a length equal to or greater than a length between two adjacent openings of the plurality of openings.

摘要: A brake dust cover is installed in a brake system including a rotor disposed on an inner diameter side of a rim of a wheel and a caliper interposing and holding the rotor with brake pads and includes a main body, an extension, and an opening. The main body is disposed adjacent to the rotor on an inside of the rotor in a vehicle width direction, that is disposed so as to overlap at least a part of the rotor when viewed from an axle direction, and that is disposed such that an outer circumferential edge portion thereof is separated from an inner circumferential surface of the rim. The extension extends from a part of the outer circumferential edge portion of the main body to an outer diameter side. The opening is formed in the main body, and air in a wheelhouse is introduced toward the rotor through the opening.

摘要: An electromechanical brake comprising mobile induced elements or sectors or frames (2), the number of mobile induced elements (2) or sectors being at least three, where one of the sectors acts faster than the rest, and where one of the sectors acts in a delayed manner with respect to the rest of the sectors in the case of an emergency, said time-delayed actuation being achieved by means of the antiparallel arrangement of a diode (6) on the coil (5) associated with said sector. Smooth and progressive stop is thus achieved in the case of an emergency.
