摘要: A control system for an automotive air conditioning system includes temperature sensors at the evaporator and at the compressor of the air conditioning system and a controller responsive to signals from the sensors to control cycling of the compressor clutch. The controller is operative to monitor the cycle rate of the compressor clutch (i.e., the duration for which the clutch is engaged in any given cycle) and to provide command signals to control air conditioning system when the clutch cycle rate exceeds or falls below predetermined values. The controller is programmed so that at a predetermined level of sensed humidity in the vehicle to change the predetermined evaporator temperature values at which the clutch is engaged or disengaged so as to change the moisture content in the air flowing across the evaporator before it is supplied to the interior of the vehicle. The system includes humidity controller in the interior of the vehicle for sensing the relative humidity of the air within the vehicle, wherein the control means is also adapted to adjust the humidity of the conditioned air in response to signals from the humidity sensor.

摘要: An air tempering apparatus for use in an automotive vehicle having a duct through which air is directed into a passenger compartment. The apparatus comprises an air chilling unit having a variable refrigerating capacity of chilling the air in the duct, and an air reheating unit having a variable reheating capacity of reheating the chilled air in the duct. A control unit decreases the reheating capacity of the air heating unit as the chilled air temperature increases. The control unit decreases the refrigerating capacity of the air chilling means when the reheating capacity of the air reheating means is greater than a predetermined value and when the sensed humidity is less than a predetermined value.

摘要: In an air conditioning system for vehicles which includes a compressor of a variable capacity type, a comparison is made between a compressor capacity required for an air conditioning control and a compressor capacity required for a demist control. The compressor capacity is controlled so as to be brought to greater one of the compressor capacities compared with each other. Alternatively, when it is judged that a windowpane is misted, the compressor capacity is increased and, simultaneously, the temperature of air blown into the compartment is raised. Alternatively, the compressor capacity is controlled so as to be increased within a range of a set maximum allowable capacity until the mist on the windowpane is cleared off when it is judged that the mist occurs on the windowpane.

摘要: A first air conditioner is generally applied to a vehicle including a windshield and a passenger compartment having a front segment and a rear segment. The windshield faces the front segment of the passenger compartment. Air is injected into the front segment of the passenger compartment via a first duct. Air is injected into the rear segment of the passenger compartment via a second duct. A humidifier acts on the air injected into the rear segment of the passenger compartment via the second duct. In a second air conditioner, a humidifier can be selectively activated and deactivated. A temperature control arrangement responsive to activation and deactivation of the humidifier compensates for fluctuations in the temperature of air resulting from changes between activated and deactivated states of the humidifier.

摘要: A discharge air temperature control device which is provided in an air conditioning system for automotive vehicles, the device comprising a lever assembly for adjusting the angular position of an air-mix damper, a driving circuit for driving the compressor of the air conditioning system, and a switching device for opening or closing the driving circuit in response to an air flow temperature signal supplied from a temperature sensor, characterized in that means is provided which is responsive to a change in the angular position of the lever assembly to vary a reference temperature value with reference to which the switching device opens or closes the driving circuit. The frequency of actuation of the compressor can thus be reduced to thereby save energy to be consumed by the air conditioning system. Further provided is means for selectively changing the above-mentioned reference temperature value into two levels which vary at different rates of variation relative to a change in the angular position of the lever assembly. Provision of this reference temperature changing means permits interruption of the operation of the compressor driving circuit when dehumidifying operation is not required, thus further saving energy to be consumed by the air conditioning system.

摘要: A method for controlling a refrigeration system of a vehicle includes a circuit containing a refrigerant, a compressor, and first and second evaporators which are connected in parallel to the compressor, and a first expansion valve arranged upstream the first evaporator that regulates a pressure drop of the refrigerant before the first evaporator, and a second expansion valve arranged upstream the second evaporator that regulates a pressure drop of the refrigerant before the second evaporator, and a condenser arranged downstream the compressor between the compressor and the first and second expansion valves. The method includes controlling a total opening of the first expansion valve and the second expansion valve, based on a temperature and a pressure of the refrigerant which refrigerant temperature and refrigerant pressure are measured downstream the first and second evaporators at a position between the first and second evaporators and the compressor.
