摘要: The present invention is a curable composition comprising a component (A), a component (B), a component (C), and a component (D), the curable composition comprising the component (A) and the component (B) in a mass ratio (component (A):component (B)) of 100:0.3 to 100:20, the component (A) being a silane compound (co)polymer that is represented by a formula (a-1) or a formula (a-2), (CHR1X0-D-SiO3/2)m(R2SiO3/2)n(CHR1X0-D-SiZ1O2/2)o(R2SiZ2O2/2)p(CHR1X0-D-SiZ32O1/2)q(R2SiZ42O1/2)r (a-1) (R3SiO3/2)s(R3SiZ5O2/2)t(R3SiZ52O1/2)u (a-2) the component (B) being fine particles having an average primary particle size of more than 0.04 μm and 8 μm or less, the component (C) being a silane coupling agent that comprises a nitrogen atom in its molecule, and the component (D) being a silane coupling agent that comprises an acid anhydride structure in its molecule, and an optical element-securing composition, and a cured product, and an optical element-securing material, and a method for using the curable composition, and an optical device.

摘要: Provided is a thermosetting resin composition which exhibits excellent workability, and which is capable of obtaining, as a result of being cured, a highly reliable cured product (molded article) exhibiting excellent heat resistance and mechanical strength. This thermosetting resin composition includes: a polyalkenyl phenol resin (A); an aromatic polymaleimide compound (B); and a polymerization initiator (C). The polyalkenyl phenol resin (A) has, in a molecule thereof, at least one aromatic ring unit (a1) which has a phenolic hydroxyl group having a 2-alkenyl group bonded thereto, and at least one aromatic ring unit (a2) having a phenolic hydroxyl group which does not have a 2-alkenyl group bonded thereto. Each of the aromatic ring units is bonded by a linking group having a main chain which is not formed by an aromatic ring. When m represents the number of the aromatic ring units (a1), and n represents the number of the aromatic ring units (a2), the ratio of m to (m+n) is 40-90%. The polyalkenyl phenol resin (A) is included in an amount at which the amount of 2-alkenyl groups becomes 0.4-1.5 mol per mol of maleimide groups in the aromatic polymaleimide compound (B).

摘要: A method of manufacturing an adhesive composition for use in the production of paperboard is provided. An amount of water contained within a source container is provided. The water is heated to a first temperature. A rheology modifier is added to the heated water to create a heated solution. A starch is added to the heated solution. The heated solution is mixed for a first period of time to create a heated mixture. Additionally, there may be more independent time segments determining an amount of time which the components of the heated solution are mixed or blended together. Additional elements of the adhesive composition are added to the heated mixture between each mixing time segment.

摘要: There are very few violet or pink colored commercial pigments that display high heat stability, resistance to acidic conditions, or good lightfastness. This technology results in pigments that fall into the above color space, but display improved chemical and weathering stability. The pigments based of this technology have the molar ratio (A2O)x(BO)y(C2O5)z(DO3)w(EO2)v, where 2x+y+2z+w+v≅100. Where A is Li or Li with one or more of Cu, Na, or K, where B is Co or Co with one or more of Ca, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ni, Sn, or Zn, where C is Nb, Sb, or combination thereof, where D is Mo, W or combination thereof, where E is Sn, Ti, Zr, or combination thereof. The above formulation may be modified with a dopant addition of Al, B, Ba, Bi, Ca, Ce, Cr, La, P, Pr, Si, Sr, Ta, V, or Y where the dopant concentration represents 5 atomic % or less of the total number of moles of components A+B+C+D+E.

摘要: The invention provides a rubber composition prepared by mixing, per 100 parts by mass of a rubber component comprising at least 50% by mass of a diene-based rubber, from 20 to 150 parts by mass of a filler, and from 0.05 to 30 parts by mass of a compound A which has a specific guanidine structure and has a functional group reactive with the diene-based rubber. The rubber composition improves both a high elastic modulus and a low tan δ. The invention also provides a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition.

摘要: An oil recovery composition of an aqueous solution of one or more salts and dilute polymer and processes for enhanced oil recovery using the oil recovery composition are provided. An oil recovery composition may include an aqueous solution of one or more salts having a salinity of about 5000 parts-per-million (ppm) to about 6000 ppm and a polymer having a concentration of 250 ppm to 500 ppm. The one or more salts may include at least one of sodium chloride (NaCl), calcium chloride (CaCl2), magnesium chloride (MgCl2), sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) and magnesium sulfate (MgSO4). The polymer may include a copolymer of acrylamide and acrylamido tertiary butyl sulfonate (ATBS). The oil recovery compositions provided may be suited for enhancing oil recovery in carbonate reservoirs having in situ oil viscosities less than 3 centipoise (cP).
